Children's chairs of the usual design are equipped with one or more side bars or a central bar, which also serve as chair feet that rest on the floor at certain points.

The height-adjustable seat and footrests can be adjusted by loosening screws. Children's chairs are used in all educational and therapeutic facilities and in private use. Conventional children's chairs are inflexible and can usually only be adapted to the corresponding body size with the help of tools. This means that therapists, parents, etc. have to spend a lot of time and effort to adapt the chair to the required situation.

Moving under load is accomplished by lifting the chair (with child).

To place small children in chairs with safety bars, the child is lifted up until the foot pads have reached the height of the safety bar. The child's legs must then be inserted with support between the safety bar and the seat. Conventional children's chairs can only be used up to a certain age due to their design

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a children's chair in particular which is easy to handle and requires little effort and offers maximum seating comfort for children of all ages and adults.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claim 1.

The invention means that the seat and footrest can be adjusted with one hand in a very short time without loosening screws and/or without tools. When positioning the chair, lifting it is no longer necessary, as the curved base plate (5) allows good sliding with little effort on almost all floor coverings. By pulling or pushing on the handle (8) and footrest (9), the movement of the chair is optimized even under load without ending up in an unphysiological posture.

Thanks to the swivelling safety bar, small children only need to be lifted slightly and

can be placed on the chair with little effort. ■'■'■'■

If the safety bar is not needed, it can be swung to the side or removed completely

By using only a few materials and its simple manufacturing, the chair can be produced cost-effectively.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in claims 2-4.

Attaching the footrest to the back of the central beam allows for space-saving storage, or the footrest can be attached to the back of the top opening in the central beam and used as a small table.

This positioning of the footrest (Fig. 3) proves to be an ideal working surface when the user sits on the chair facing the backrest.

In Fig. 1 the chair is shown in perspective in its details. The seat (2) and footrest (3) are height-adjustable on the HoIm (I) by inserting them into the openings (7).

Fig. 2 shows the movement of the chair under load by pulling or pushing at points (8) and (9) while maintaining an ergonomic posture with little effort. With the sitting position shown in Fig. 3, the footrest can be used as a shelf or small table for older children or adults.

The construction shown in Fig. 4 enables the seat and footrest to be changed with one hand. Under load, these secure themselves automatically via points (6) and (4). This invention eliminates the need to loosen locking mechanisms using screws or tools.

Fig. 5 shows the radius (12) attached to the base plate^).

The safety bar (13) shown in Fig. 6 can be swivelled over its side rails (10). The side rail (10) is secured by the safety bolt^ 1) equipped with a spring. When not in use, the bar can be removed by loosening the screw (15) on the side rail.

Claims (4)

1. Chair, in particular a child's chair, which has a central column ( 1 ) = backrest, a seat ( 2 ), a footrest ( 3 ), a horseshoe or ring-shaped base plate ( 5 ), a handle ( 8 ) at the end of the central column, a crossbar ( 9 ) on the support rod ( 14 ), and a safety bar, characterized in : - that the seat ( 2 ) and footrest ( 3 ) can be adjusted in height on the central column ( 1 ) with one hand and in a self-locking manner without turning or screwing, - the central column has at least one opening ( 7 ), which can also serve as a handle, - has at least one handle ( 8 ), - has a cross brace ( 9 ) as a footrest, - the seat and foot part with at least one pin which is provided at the end with a securing plate ( 6 ) and has support struts ( 4 ). 2.
