LeuchtansteckerIlluminated pin
The proposed invention relates to a badge, in which a brightly lit moving image is generated by means of light-emitting diodes on light guide surfaces.
1.2 Stand der Technik und Kritik.1.2 State of the art and criticism.
For several years now, there have been flashing heart plugs developed by the same applicant, which are sold in large numbers at a low price. The attractive effect, however, is limited to a simple flashing sequence. The lighting arrangement on which the invention is based, thanks to its simple design and technical advantages, creates the optical impression of a pumping heart.
1.3 Anwendungsgebiet1.3 Area of application
Due to its technical properties, the invention presented can be used wherever a decorative affinity to an event, a particular taste of the wearer or other symbolism that requires representation, e.g. in the field of advertising, is to be expressed in a highly visible manner. This applies in particular to large events such as the Oktoberfest, music events, carnival balls or Christmas markets. For example, wearing a light-up heart at the Munich Oktoberfest has had an almost ritual significance for years. The object according to the invention therefore undoubtedly enjoys particular buyer acceptance and thus considerable economic benefit. Possible examples include beer mugs, Christmas stars, crosses, names of music groups, advertising-effective objects such as cigarette packs, wine or bottles, etc. These objects can be reproduced in moving form using the proposed technical system. Use in the area of dolls, e.g. as moving eyes, as a light-up ring or earring is also being considered.

1.4 Beschreibung1.4 Description
The lighting device submitted for trade protection consists of at least 2 light guide bodies of a largely arbitrary flat geometric shape. These are made from transparent, crystal-clear plastic using an injection molding process and have a thickness of approx. 1.5 to 2.5 mm. On the back of the disc-shaped light guides (1,7) in this example, a heart (3, 8) is printed in transparent red color. The heart (3) is smaller than the heart (8) on the rear disc. The backs of the hearts (3,8) are coated with a white reflector paint (8,19) to make them opaque. Both light guides (1,7) are arranged one behind the other, close together. Flat light-emitting diodes (6,10) are inserted into the sockets (5,10) of the circuit boards (7), and are covered opaquely between each other and to the front (4,11). The emitted red light is introduced via the edges of the light guides (1,7), guided invisibly to the printed surfaces (3,8) and radiated forwards according to the laws of total reflection. One electronic pulse generator (15,16) for each light guide (1,7) is sensibly mounted on a circuit board (18) together with 2 button cell batteries (14), switches (17) and functionally connected via conductor loops. When the circuit is closed, the light-emitting diodes (6,10) flash one after the other. controlled, giving the viewer the impression of a heart growing and shrinking at the appropriate rhythm. By using 3 or more light guide bodies with appropriately timed illumination systems, many brightly lit symbols that grow or shrink can be created in the same way. Figure 5 shows a diagram of a cross that enlarges four times in rapid succession, whereby the use of differently colored light sources produces a particularly attractive effect. The technical advantages of the invention presented enable a very low construction height of approx. 10mm when using 4 light guides with a corresponding number of image changes. In addition, with the appropriate arrangement of the lighting system, scrolling text and laterally diverging symbols or pictograms can also be made to light up. The use of a black background (20), which is attached after the last light guide disc, also increases the visual impression. The entire light pin is expediently integrated into a housing, whereby the front (2) cover, if designed accordingly, also makes sense as shields for the light-emitting diodes (6, 10).
