The invention is used to mark the position of golf balls in golf.

In golf, special competitions can be held that serve to enrich the competitions and thus also promote conviviality. For example, special competitions with special prizes can be held for

a) Balls that come to rest on the green closest to the hole after teeing off

b) Balls that come to rest on the fairway furthest from the teeing ground

Various devices and tools are used to mark the position of golf balls:

The marking devices used to date have the disadvantage that the cards or flags made of cardboard or paper used to write down the names of the most promising golfers become so deformed when exposed to moisture (e.g. rain) that they can no longer be written on or are barely legible. Even when cards made of waterproof material and writing instruments with waterproof substances (ink or similar) are used, the writing becomes illegible when exposed to moisture.

The rods of the marking devices used so far have such a large diameter that they cannot be used on the green as they cause damage to the turf; they must either be attached to the golf flag or placed on the edge of the green

If they are placed on the edge of the green, considerable delays will result.

Solution

The invention is based on the object of avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages and of creating a marking device which

(a) protect the cardboard, paper or plastic cards used to record the names of the most successful candidates from moisture and

b) make it possible to place the marker on the green. The solution is that

1. the device consists of a rod made of wood, metal, plastic or another material tapering at the lower end, which has a handle in the form of a ball, bird figure, bracket or other shape at the upper end, and is provided below the handle with a waterproof writing tablet made of plastic or another material attached to the rod and equipped with a clamp, which is protected against the effects of moisture by a movable cover made of plastic or another material.

2. the rod has such a small diameter that the rod does not cause any damage that would impede the game of golf when the marking device is used on the green.

Benefits achieved

This aim is achieved by providing the device with a writing plate made of plastic or other waterproof material, which is protected by a cover made of plastic or other waterproof material, so that the marking device can be used even when it is wet, since the card or paper for writing down the names is kept between the writing plate and the cover. When there is no wetness, the card or paper can be clamped onto the said cover, thus facilitating and speeding up the marking process.

If the diameter of the rod is as small as possible, the marking device can be used on the green, which leads to a significant speeding up of the game.

Device for marking the position of golf balls in golf, characterized in that the device consists of a rod made of wood, metal, plastic or other material which is tapered at the lower end and which has a handle designed as a ball, bird figure, bracket or other shape at its upper end, and is provided below the handle with a waterproof writing board made of plastic or another material which is attached to the rod and equipped with a clamp and which is protected against the effects of moisture by a movable cover made of plastic or another material. 2. Device for marking the position of golf balls in golf according to claim 1, characterized in that the rod has such a small diameter that the rod does not cause any damage that would hinder the game of golf when the marking device is used on the green.
