Claims (8)

1. Schutzkissen für einen Kopf eines Fahrzeuginsassen, das in der Nä­ he einer Ecke zwischen einer Decke und einer Seitenfläche einer Fahr­ zeugfahrgastzelle angeordnet ist, so daß es mit eingeführtem Gas entlang der Seitenfläche abwärts aufgeblasen werden kann, wobei das Schutzkis­ sen eine insassenseitige Lage und eine karosserieseitige Lage umfaßt, die übereinander angeordnet und miteinander verbunden sind, um so mehre­ re freie Kammern zwischen den Lagen zu bilden, in die Gas gefüllt wird,
wobei die Kammern in der Längsrichtung des Fahrzeuges angeordnet sind, und
wobei das Kissen einen Gasdurchgang an seinem oberen Abschnitt aufweist, der in der Längsrichtung des Fahrzeugs verläuft,
wobei das Schutzkissen dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß der Gas­ durchgang aus einem zylindrischen Element besteht, das separat von den Lagen vorgesehen ist, wobei der Gasdurchgang mit zumindest einer Öff­ nung an seinem Mittelbereich versehen ist.1.
