The housing (20) for the socket portion of a seat belt lock has a collar (21). This covers the gaps (22, 23) between the housing and the seat upholstery (26) on either side.

Description

Aus verschiedenen Gründen, beispielsweise auch im Hinblick auf vertretbare Toleranzen, sind die Querschnitte von Gurtschloßgehäuse und Sitzpolsteraussparung so gewählt, daß zwischen beiden zumindest einseitig ein Spalt vorliegt. Dieser kann auch dazu dienen, durch die Belastung eines Sitzpolsters erzeugte Ausbeulungen des Polsters gleichsam in diese Aussparung hinein zuzulassen bzw. aufzunehmen. Wie sich aber gezeigt hat, ist ein derartiger Spalt insofern gefährlich, als er zu Scheinverriegelungen des Gurtschlosses dadurch führen kann, daß der Fahrzeuginsasse versehentlich die Schloßzunge nicht in die vorgesehene Zungenaufnahme innerhalb des Gurtschloßgehäuses steckt, sondern daneben in den beschriebenen Spalt.
