Description

The present invention relates to a leather substitute material 5 with the features specified in the upper part of claim 1.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a leather substitute materials that are very breathable, have a low specific weight, none has a distinctive smell, is not contaminated with toxic substances and is environmentally friendly is gentle, simple, quick and inexpensive to manufacture.

According to the invention, we perform this task with a generic leather replacement material solved by the features specified in the characterizing part of protection claim 1. Particularly preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the leather replacement material according to the invention comprises a carrier layer ( 1 ) made of fine and smooth flax, straw, residual wood and rapeseed straw ( 2 ). The flax, straw, timber waste and rape straw layer (2) is available in the customary manner in such a way with each other, that the carrier layer (2) has substantially the properties of a material like fabric. The thickness of the flax, straw, residual wood and rapeseed straw layer ( 2 ) in the carrier layer ( 1 ) is approximately 1 mm. In preferred embodiments, the carrier layer ( 1 ) made of flax, straw, residual wood and rapeseed straw microfibers is dyed through with a natural color based on tree bark, for example, before the top layer ( 3 ) or the barrier layer ( 4 ) is applied. This measure prevents bright spots from appearing when worn for a long time.

A thinner barrier layer ( 4 ) is generally provided on the top side of the carrier layer ( 1 ) made of fine and smooth flax, straw, residual wood and rape straw microfibers ( 2 ).

As a rule, this barrier layer ( 4 ) is in the form of an adhesion promoter layer for the overlying top layer ( 3 ). The barrier layer ( 4 ) can consist essentially of beeswax, for example.

In addition to the adhesion promoter function for the cover layer ( 3 ), the barrier layer ( 4 ) has the task of smoothing out any unevenness on the top side of the carrier layer ( 1 ).

Above the barrier layer ( 4 ), a cover layer ( 3 ) is preferably provided, which can contain any dye.

Preferably, the dye in the top layer ( 3 ) is, for example, a non-toxic tree bark dye.

In preferred embodiments, the cover layer ( 3 ) is applied to the barrier layer ( 4 ), for example by means of a spray device. The thickness of the cover layer ( 3 ) is about 0.2 mm.

Due to the fabric-like, loose composite of the flax, straw, residual wood and rapeseed straw layer ( 2 ) in the carrier layer ( 1 ), the leather replacement material according to the invention has an extremely high breathability. The loose composite of flax, straw, residual wood and rape straw microfibers ( 2 ) in the carrier layer ( 1 ) also leads to a specific weight of the leather replacement material according to the invention, which is, for example, significantly less than that of nappa leather.

The inherent smell of nappa leather, often perceived as biting and stinging, occurs the leather replacement material according to the invention does not exist.

After the leather replacement material according to the invention preferably made of pure Natural products exist, this is usually not contaminated with toxic substances and can manufactured in an extremely environmentally friendly manner.

Leather substitute material, characterized in that it has an essentially fabric-like carrier layer ( 1 ) made of fine and smooth fibers from: flax, straw, residual wood and rapeseed straw ( 2 ), a thinner barrier layer ( 4 ) applied thereon and one on the barrier layer ( 4 ) The intended top layer comprises ( 3 ) or smoothly processed material without top layer or without top layer. That the flax, straw, timber waste and rape straw layer (2) should have a thickness of 1 mm 2. leather substitute material according to claim 1, characterized in the carrier layer (2). 3. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the barrier layer ( 4 ) is an adhesion promoter for the cover layer ( 3 ). 4. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the barrier layer ( 4 ) consists essentially of beeswax. 5. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover layer ( 3 ) contains a dye. 6. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the dye in the cover layer ( 3 ) is a tree bark dye. 7. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the thickness of the cover layer ( 3 ) is 0.2 mm. 8. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrier layer ( 1 ) made of flax, straw, residual wood and rape straw ( 2 ) is dyed through with a natural color based on tree bark. 9. Leather replacement material according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover layer ( 3 ) is applied to the barrier layer ( 4 ) by means of a spray device.
