Durch die Neuerung soll ein derartiges Kabel angegeben werden, dessen Quersteifigkeit und Elastizität gegenüber bekannten Kabeln erhöht ist. Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Neuerung dadurch gelöst, dass über dem Schirm ein gewellter Kunststoffmantel angebracht ist. Der Vorteil der Neuerung ist darin zu sehen, dass durch das Wellen des Kunststoffmantels derselbe unter gleichzeitiger Verbesserung der Elastizität eine erhöhte Quersteifigkeit erhält und somit auch erhöhten mechanischen Beanspruchungen gewachsen ist. Gegen das Eindringen von Wasserdampf ist ein besonderer Schutz nicht erforderlich, da der Schirm einen ausreichenden Schutz gewährleistet. Der Kunststoffmantel benötigt weiterhin keinen besonderen Korrosionsschutz, sondern er kann blank im Erdreich verlegt werden.The aim of the innovation is to specify such a cable, the transverse rigidity and elasticity of which is greater than that of known cables.
