In the case of multiple switching devices for telephone exchanges, sets of pawls or contacts are used, each of which is repeated several times in the office. These individual pawls and contacts are connected by special cables that connect the individual associated contacts in a multiple circuit. Particularly in the case of automatic telephone exchanges, the connection of the individual contact sets with the next following contact set groups makes great difficulties because of the compact structure and causes considerable costs. The connection of the contacts C 1 , C 1 , C 0 , C 2 , etc., which belong together, is usually done by soldering wires b, as shown schematically in Fig. Issue 36, p. 725, Fig. 51 and also the. Fig. Ι and 2 of the English patent specification 15077/03 give a clear illustration.
The embodiment shown in Fig. 2 of the present invention, which can also apply as a basic type for the embodiments shown in Figs. I 1 2, 3, 4 and 8 of patent 162063 and also in the figures of patent 162064, has the disadvantage that there is a considerable amount of waste in the punching process. Likewise, the production of rows of contacts according to FIGS. 7 and 8 of patent 162063 or according to FIG. 2 of the present invention requires a large number of punching forms because of the different sizes of the individual contacts C 1 , C 2 , C 3 contained in each set. This consumption of material is avoided by the method shown in FIGS. 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of patent 162063 of pulling apart prepunched sheet metal strips or the production of contact sets from straight long conductor strips by bending over. However, the method has the disadvantage that it cannot readily be used for the curved contact sets of the Strowger type; this is because either special soldering is required (as in FIG. 10), or a larger number of punching is required for a contact set, as can be clearly seen in FIGS. 7 and 8 of patent specification 162063.
Um diese Nachteile zu vermeiden, soll gemäß vorliegender Erfindung bei der Herstellung der Kontakte und Verbindungsleitungen derart verfahren werden, daß beide Elemente aus einem einfachen langen und schmalen Blechstreifen in der aus Fig. 3 der vorliegenden Erfindung ersichtlichen Weise hergestellt. werden, indem letzterem beispielsweise durchIn order to avoid these disadvantages, according to the present invention, during production the contacts and connecting lines are moved in such a way that both elements from a simple long and narrow sheet metal strip in that of Fig. 3 of the present Invention apparent manner made. be done by the latter, for example
E.g. let which is required for contact sets of a curved shape similar to the Strowger type Shorten the contacts towards the middle and lengthen them towards the two outer edges by bending accordingly
ίο in einfachster Weise bewirken, wie dies in Fig. 4 unter Nr. 2, 3 und 4 angedeutet ist.ίο in the simplest possible way, as in Fig. 4 is indicated under nos. 2, 3 and 4.
In the case of sheet metal strips, b is the continuous connecting line and c is the actual contact branch. In order to bring the branches into the position that matches the voter arms, they are bent over accordingly, as can be seen from FIG. 4, which shows several embodiments of this type. In no. 1 in FIG. 4, the contact strips c easy at 90 0 bent over and laid b via the outlet. At no. 2, c is first led a bit parallel to line b and then bent over, whereby longer or shorter contact branches can be achieved with the same punching shape. In order not to obtain unnecessarily wide connecting strips in the limited space which is available in such a contact set with the many connecting strips running next to one another, the contact strip c is bent so far under No. 3 in FIG. 4 that it, in contrast to No. 2 comes to rest over the connecting line b , whereupon the bend of c takes place. No. 4 shows how the sharp corner still existing under No. 1 can be avoided in a similar way by double bending the strip c.
The illustrated contact shape has the advantage that the distances between the individual contiguous contact lobes of the same conductor more precisely adhered to can be as with those from a continuous conductor strip by pulling out or bending produced forms according to the type of FIGS. 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the patent 162063 by being produced in accordance with FIGS. 3 and 4 of the present invention Contacts the continuous connecting line, its linear expansion for each Contact set remains unchanged, the branched contacts a fixed one Hold offers, while with the cited constructions according to the patent 162063 due to small differences in pulling out when assembling the contacts in the Fabrication occur, easily significant differences can arise for the assembly even contact sets are extremely obstructive.
