Description
KAISERLICHES
PATENTAMT.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Prüfung von Gefäßen auf Dichthalten.
Der innere Druck wird durch elektrolytische Zersetzung der eingefüllten Flüssigkeit
erzielt, indem das hierbei sich bildende Gas zur Erhöhung des Druckes benutzt wird.
Da bei vollständig gefüllten Behältern schon ein sehr geringes Quantum des erzeugten
ίο Gases zu bedeutenden Druckspannungen genügt,
so ist die Druckprobe von Dampfkesseln, Röhren, Dampfzylindern u. dgl. nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren mit wenig Mühe
und Stromkosten auszuführen.
Bestehen die zu prüfenden Behälter, wie beispielsweise in der chemischen Industrie,
•nicht aus Metall, so daß dieselben die Elektrizität nicht leiten, so werden im Innern derselben
zwei Elektroden aus Kohle oder Metall angebracht.
In Fig. ι ist ein besonderer Apparat dargestellt,
welcher an das auf Druck zu prüfende Gefäß zum Zersetzen des Wassers angeschlossen
werden kann. Um Metallzer-Setzungen bei Druckproben von Metallgefäßen
zu vermeiden, ist der Apparat mit zwei Kohlenelektroden versehen.
Gleich nach der Einschaltung des elektrischen Stromes zeigt sich die Wirkung desselben,
und in kurzer Zeit wird der gewünschte Druck erreicht.
Zur besseren Übersicht der Wasserzersetzung kann der Apparat auch mit einem Wasserstandsglas
versehen sein. Fig. 2 zeigt die vereinfachte Wasserdruckprobe mittels einer Kohlenelektrode, der andere Pol wird von
der Gefäßwandung gebildet. Der Deckel a in Fig. 2 ist mit einer Kohlen- oder Metallelektrode
b versehen und wird mit dem positiven Pol der Stromquelle verbunden, während
der vom Deckel gut isolierte Kessel c als Ableitungselektrode dient und mit dem
negativen Pol der Stromquelle durch den Leitungsdraht i verbunden ist. -
Claims (1)
- Patent-Anspruch:Verfahren zur Wasserdruckprobe an Dampfkesseln, Röhren und anderen Hohlgefäßen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine in die Gefäße eingefüllte Flüssigkeit elektrolytisch zersetzt wird, so daß die durch Elektrolyse aus der Flüssigkeit entwickelten Gase den erforderlichen Preßdruck erzeugen.Hierzu 1 Blatt Zeichnungen.
