1. Bei der industriellen Bearbeitung von Metallteilen, beispielsweise von Motorblöcken, sind
zahlreiche Schleif bzw. Strahl- und Ausblasarbeiten erforderlich. Hierbei umgeben den
Arbeiter kleinste Sand- bzw. Metallteile. Zum Schutz hiervor wird üblicherweise ein Helm
mit einem heruntergezogenen durchsichtigen Visier vor dem Gesicht sowie zusätzlich eine
Schutzbrille und eine Atemmaske getragen. Dabei ergibt sich im Rahmen der praktischen
Handhabung das Problem, daß die Brillen aufgrund der warmen Atemluft beschlagen und
demgemäß nach kurzer Zeit ein Arbeiten mit Brille und Visier zugleich erschwert wird.
Gleichzeitig können trotzdem Gesundheitsschäden an den Augen auftreten, da die Brillen
regelmäßig nicht vollständig abgedichtet sind.
Demgegenüber werden auf dem Markt zur Vermeidung dieses Mißstandes bisher lediglich
Helme mit eingebauten Ventilatoren verwendet. Diese sind aber einerseits sehr kostspielig
und andererseits aufgrund der ständig zugeführten und z. T. kalten Außenluft zumindest
sehr unangenehm zu tragen. Außerdem weisen sie ein entsprechend hohes zusätzliches
Gewicht auf. Die Visiere verdrecken im übrigen längerfristig im Bereich der Innenseite.1. 2. Dieses Problem wird durch die horizontal zwischen Gesicht und Visier eines handelsübli
chen Helmes anzubringende Einlage gemäß Patentanspruch 1 beseitigt. Da die Einlage ho
rizontal geringfügig über den Nasenlöchern ansetzt und zugleich den Zwischenraum vom
Gesicht bis zum Visier ausfüllt, wird gewährleistet, daß keine Atemluft weiter nach oben
dringt. Es kann nicht zum Beschlagen des Gesichtsfeldes im Visier oberhalb der Einlage
kommen und das Tragen einer zusätzlichen Schutzbrille ist überflüssig.
Die Aufgabe der zusätzlichen Einlage besteht mithin darin, einerseits vor dem Eindringen
kleiner Partikel zu schützen und andererseits zugleich zu verhindern, daß es aufgrund von
warmer Atemluft zum Beschlagen und damit zu Einschränkungen des Gesichtsfeldes

Die Einlage ist an einem halbkreisförmigen Rahmen befestigt, der mit allen üblichen Hel
men die über seitliche Schraubbefestigungen (Visierhalterungen) verfügen, kompatibel ist.
Letztere dienen bisher ausschließlich zur Befestigung des Schutzvisieres und werden vor
liegend gleichzeitig dazu genutzt, den angesprochenen Rahmen zu halten.
Dieser einteilige - oder wie vorliegend dargestellt - mehrteilige Rahmen ist durch entspre
chende Bohrungen der Seitenhalterungen (hier 3 Löcher zur Heimbefestigung hin und 4
Löcher zum halbrunden Rahmen hin) flexibel anpassbar.
An diesem Rahmen wird dann mit Klettverschlüssen die Einlage befestigt. Über den Klett
verschlußbändern wird dabei sinnvollerweise außen am Rahmen ein durchgehender
Schaumstoffstreifen zum Visier hin angebracht. Dieser dient einerseits zur Befestigung der
Klettverschlußstreifen und optimiert im übrigen den Schutz des Tragenden im Bereich zwi
schen Visier und Einlage. An der Einlage selbst befindet sich hierbei - beispielsweise ver
näht oder in vergleichbarer Form befestigt - zum Visier hin das "Negativ" zum Klettver
schlußband, um so die Befestigung mit den am Rahmen angebrachten Klettverschlußbän
dern zu gewährleisten. Dabei sollte das "Negativ" des Klettverschlußbandes, das an der
Einlage im äußeren Randbereich befestigt wird, zweckmäßigerweise sowohl im Bereich
der Ober- als auch Unterseite verlaufen.
Gleichzeitig ist die erwähnte Einlage zum Gesicht hin ebenfalls mit einem entsprechenden
Schaumstoffstreifen umfaßt, der mit der Einlagenober- und unterseite verklebt wird oder
anderweitig befestigt wird und damit zum Gesicht hin für Schutz und gleichzeitig ange
nehmen Tragecomfort sorgt.
Außerdem wird durch die Einlage gewährleistet, daß nicht, wie bisher beim Tragen eines
durchsichtigen Schutzvisieres mit samt einer Brille, Schmutzpartikel sich an der Innenseite
des Visieres ablagern können und somit mit zunehmender Arbeitsdauer zu erheblichen
Sichtbeeinträchtigungen führen können. Bisher war es dann erforderlich, die Arbeiten zu
unterbrechen und ggfs. das Visier zu säubern. Nunmehr könnte sich ein entsprechender
Schmutzfilm allenfalls auf der Unterseite der beschriebenen Einlage anlagern. Dies beein
trächtigt jedoch die erforderliche Sicht des Arbeitenden nicht, so daß eine Reinigung erst
nach vollständig erbrachter Arbeit erforderlich werden könnte.
Im übrigen ist darauf hinzuweisen, daß durch die vorgenommene Befestigung an der Vi
sierhalterungsschraube des Helmes ermöglicht wird, daß Visier und Einlage samt Rahmen

Zusammenfassend betrifft die Erfindung damit eine zusätzlich zu bereits handelsüblichen
Helmen mit heruntergezogenem Gesichtsschutzschild zu verwendende - an einem zusätz
lich anzubringenden Rahmen befestigte - durchsichtige Einlage, die beispielsweise aus 0,1 mm
dickem Plexiglas oder aber auch aus vergleichbaren Materialien besteht und horizontal
