Außerdem wirkt sich eine Verunreinigung der Haftfläche des PVG-Schaumes mit Korkstaub, der bei der Herstellung der Korkscheiben anfällt, negativ auf die Haftwirkung bis zum völligem Verlust der Haft­ wirkung aus. Dies wird in der Praxis dadurch vermieden, daß 2 Kork­ stapelplättchen mit den Schaumhaftflächen zusammengefügt werden, wodurch die Haftfläche geschützt wird. Auch werden Schutz-Folien als Abdeckung verwendet. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, daß aus der PVG-Schaumhaft­ fläche während der Haftung auf der Glasscheibe Weichmacher und dgl. aus dem Schaum auf die Scheibe migrieren und diese verunreinigen, was nur durch arbeitsintensive Reinigungsarbeiten wieder beseitigt werden kann.
