Jointing material is contained in wall or floor joints, the damage fabrics such as B. polychlorinated biphenyls, isocyanates, phthalic acids contains that pollute the environment and also carcinogenic and can be allergenic. These pollutants diffuse in the grouted components. For the renovation of such joints Joint material removed from the joints and also the neighboring ones Components milled off until the pollutant zone has been removed. After that, however, there is still a risk that not all will be harmful substances have been completely removed and these from the formed Cavities can still get into the surrounding area. To such a renovation is complex and expensive.
The invention has for its object an uncontrolled Prevent pollutants from escaping into the surrounding area.

Fig. 1 shows a device for sealing joints material in which harmful substances such as polychlorinated biphenyls, which are used as plasticizers in joint material, isocyanates, phthalic acid esters and the like. Are included. The facility is designed to protect people who are in rooms where such pollutants can escape. The device can also only be used if the contaminated joint material for the renovation of rooms or buildings has already been removed. With the device, the resulting cavities can be closed ver to prevent residual pollutants from escaping into the surrounding area and can be a health hazard.
10 an. The device according to Fig. 1 comprises a shell-like formed cover 1 where the joint to be sealed 2 having wall 3 is attached. The cover 1 has an approximately U-shaped cross section with a flat front wall 4 and obliquely outwardly extending side walls 5 and 6 . They extend in the assembled position of the device ( FIG. 1) up to close to the wall 3 . The side walls 5 and 6 are profiled on their free longitudinal edges, such that two projecting into the cover 1 chamberar term recordings 7 and 8 are formed. These are mirror images of each other and have an approximately U-shaped cross section. Their bottom 9 , 10 runs parallel to the wall 4 , and their mutually facing inner legs 11 and 12 are perpendicular to the bottom 9 and 10 respectively. The outer legs 13 , 14 of the receptacles 7 , 8 run at a large obtuse angle to the floor 9 or 10 and connect to the side wall 5 or 6 of the cover 1 at a very small acute angle.
The shape of the cover part 1 can be chosen differently; e.g. B. the cover can also be formed as a curved shell or with any other desired cross-section, so that the cover can be easily adapted to the location and shape of the area to be sealed and the corresponding spatial conditions. The cover 1 is made of gas and diffusion-proof material, such as metal or plastic or a metal coated plastic, preferably a plastic coated with aluminum. The cover part 1 forms a gas-tight and diffusion-tight barrier between the contaminated wall or joint area 2 , 3 and the building interior. The cover part 1 gives the device, in particular as a result of its profiled side walls 5 , 6 , the required mechanical stability in order to be able to fasten the device to the wall 3 or another component. The surface of the cover part 1 may have any desired color and / or structure to adapt to the existing spatial and / or aesthetic conditions.
The recordings 7 , 8 are formed closed towards the front wall 4 sen. They are used to hold at least one sealing part 15 and 16 , which are made of permanently elastic material, such as dif fusion-inhibiting foam, for. B. polyethylene, or permanently elastic grout, exists. The sealing parts 15 , 16 prevent gas exchange between the interior of the cover part 1 and the surrounding space. The sealing parts 15 , 16 lie on both sides of the joint 2 at a distance from it on the wall 3 . The sealing parts 15 , 16 are arranged on the wall 3 so that they can participate in temperature-related movements of the wall. The upwardly closed receptacles 7 , 8 reduce the contact of the sealing part 15 , 16 with the room air and the air in the device to a minimum. The cover part 1 is mounted on the wall 3 in such a way that the sealing parts 15 , 16 bear against the wall 3 with elastic deformation. Due to the inclined legs 13 , 14 , the sealing parts 15 , 16 have a small distance from the bottom 9 , 10 of the receptacles 7 , 8 . In the exemplary embodiment, the sealing parts 15 , 16 have a rectangular cross section and they advantageously extend over the length of the receptacle 7 , 8 or of the cover part 1 . It is also possible to place two or more sealing parts 15 , 16 next to one another in order in this way to achieve a seal that is continuous over the length of the cover part 1 . In the exemplary embodiment, the sealing parts 15 , 16 are formed by molded parts which are inserted into the receptacles 7 , 8 and fastened in a suitable manner. The sealing parts 15 , 16 can also be formed by foaming or filling the receptacles 7 , 8 with a sealing material. In this case there is no distance between the bottom 9 , 10 of the receptacles 7 , 8 and the sealing part 15 , 16 .
The receptacles 7 , 8 are formed in one piece with the cover part 1 in the exemplary embodiment. However, they can also be designed as separate parts to be connected to the cover part.
On the inside of the front wall 4 of the cover 1 are from stand apart adsorber parts 17 , 18 are provided. You he stretch from the side walls 5 , 6 of the cover 1 to the level of the opposite joint side walls 2 a, 2 b. In the area between the adsorber parts 17 , 18 , a holding part 21 of a fastening device is arranged on the front wall 4 of the cover part 1 .
The adsorber parts 17 , 18 are preferably of identical design. They bind the existing pollutants under the cover part 1 so that they cannot escape to the outside. The pollutants can be disposed of in a simple manner by exchanging the adsorber parts or regenerating them via the adsorber parts 17 , 18 . The adsor parts 17 , 18 exist z. B. from activated carbon, an adsorber resin, modified silica gel or adsorbent plastics, such as in polyurethane foam. The adsorber parts 17 , 18 are attached to the front wall 4 , preferably in an easily detachable manner, so that they can be easily replaced and regenerated if necessary. The adsorber parts 17 , 18 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 have a right-angled cross section and advantageously extend over the length of the cover part 1 . It is also possible to put together two or more adsorber parts 17 , 18 in order to obtain continuous adsorber parts over the length of the covering part 1 . The adsorber parts 17 , 18 each have an air-permeable envelope in which the adsorber material is located in the embodiment. However, the absorber parts can also be designed without the covering.
As shown in FIG. 2, may be at a sufficiently wide joint 2 minde least be provided 19, another adsorber. It is advantageously of the same design as the adsorber parts 17 , 18 , but rotated by 90 ° and extends into the joint 2 . The adsorber part 19 is inserted into the joint 2 from the assembly of the device.
For fastening the cover part 1 with the adsorber parts 17 , 18 and the sealing parts 7 , 8 on the wall 3 , a Befestigungsvor direction 20 ( Fig. 3) is provided. It has the holding part 21 designed as a rail, which is fastened in the middle to the inside of the front wall 4 of the cover part 1 , preferably glued. The holding rail 21 is preferably made of elastic material. As Fig. 3 shows, it is formed as a C-shaped hollow profile part having a receiving space 27. The holding part 21 has legs 22 , 23 lying parallel to one another, the ends 24 , 25 of which are angled toward one another. Their free edges are tapered at an acute angle, so that egg ne in cross section V-shaped outwardly widening Einführöff opening 26 is formed. The free ends 24 , 25 , which are at the same height, are considerably thinner than the legs 22 , 23 . As a result, the ends 24 , 25 can be bent ela stically when an armature 28 is inserted until the armature 28 engages the ends 24 , 25 behind. It is therefore sufficient that not the entire holding part 21 , son only the leg ends 24 , 25 are resilient.
The armature 28 has a shaft 30 and an armature tip 29 which is designed such that it engages behind the leg ends 24 , 25 in the assembled position.
When the cover part 1 is placed on the armature 28 , the leg ends 24 , 25 are elastically bent back by the armature tip 29 until it engages behind the leg ends 24 , 25 . They then spring back into their starting position shown in FIG. 3. This prevents accidental loosening of the armature 28 from the holding part 21 . Since the insertion opening 26 tapers in the direction of the receiving space 27 , the leg ends 24 , 25 can be elastically bent without difficulty.
The shaft 30 of the armature 28 is hen with an external thread 31 with which it can be screwed into a sleeve 32 with an internal thread 33 . The sleeve 32 is BEFE Stigt in a dowel 34 , which is advantageously fixed in the joint 2 of the component or the wall 3 . The armature 28 is first screwed into the sleeve 32 with its shaft 30 . The anchor height can be continuously and precisely adjusted in this way. Then the device with the cover part 1 , the adsorber parts 17 , 18 and the receptacles 7 , 8 with the sealing parts 15 , 16 can be easily and quickly attached to the wall 3 . For this purpose, the device with the holding rail 21 must be pressed digitally onto the armature 28 . The armature 28 snaps into the holding part 21 fastened to the cover part 1 in the manner described. As a result, the device is held securely on the wall 3 . Of course, several anchors 28 are provided over the length of the cover part 1 in order to reliably fix the device to the wall 3 .
As shown in Fig. 4, the device has an elongated rectangular outline. The sealing parts 15 , 16 lie on the long sides and are connected to each other via end-side sealing parts 15 a and 16 a. They are designed so that they seal the device on both faces. It is also possible to attach a cover to both ends of the cover 1 , which closes the cover on the end sides. On the lids, the sealing parts 15 a, 16 a are then provided, which are preferably of the same design and are arranged as the sealing parts 15 , 16 and advantageously consist of the same material as these. The adsorber parts 17 , 18 extend over the entire length between the sealing parts 15 a and 16 a. The fastening device 20 or the holding part 21 runs between the adsorber parts 17 , 18 and ends in each case at a distance from the end sealing parts 15 a, 16 a.
As FIG. 5 shows, the cavity 38 ( FIG. 1) of the cover part 1 can also be completely filled with adsorber material 39 . It is preferably the same material from which the adsorber parts 17 , 18 are made. A filling opening 41 is provided for filling the spaces 38 with the adsorber material 39 . The adsorber material 39 is filled into the cover part 1 via them. If the adsorber material 39 is regenerated or replaced, then it can be emptied again from the cover part 1 via an outlet opening 42 . The openings 41 , 42 are immediately adjacent to the end sealing 15 a, 16 a and approximately symmetrical to the longitudinal center plane of the device. In the assembled position of the device, the two openings 41 , 42 are spaced one above the other and closed with a United, which is preferably releasable, closed.
The pollutants contained in the joint material diffuse over time into the wall areas adjacent to joint 2 . For this reason, the receptacles 7 , 8 with the sealing parts 15 , 16 are arranged at such a distance from one another that the contaminated wall regions located on both sides of the joint 2 lie below the cover part 1 in the region between the sealing parts 15 , 16 . This ensures that the emerging from the contaminated Wandbe pollutants are collected by the device.
The device is preferably used in the manner described for sealing joints. It is of course possible to use the device to cover flat building parts, such as panels, which are also contaminated with pollutants. In such cases, the cover part 1 is no longer designed as a rail, but rather like a plate with the angled side walls 5 , 6 . Furthermore, the device can also be used to cover local areas contaminated with pollutants. The cover 1 then has a correspondingly adapted shape.
