The invention relates to a child car seat with a rigid Seat shell as well as suddenly in a protective position expanding restraint structure of a restraint device, those in a connected to the seat shell and in a Be riding position before a seat position of the seat pan ordered carrier arrangement is integrated, the carrier arrangement is designed as a support bracket, the two with the Seat shell connected and in the standby position from the seat shell protruding forward as well as one has cross members extending between the legs, where the retaining structure is integrated in the cross member.
Such a child car seat is known from US 5,511,850. The child car seat faces you in front of the sitting position on the seat width extending bracket, in its Cross member section an airbag is integrated. With an ex expansion of the airbag, this unfolds upwards.
Another child car seat is from DE 94 09 377 U1 knows. The child car seat has a rigid seat shell, at which a catch table lingers around in the vehicle's longitudinal direction fende pivot axis between a release position and a Ready position is pivotally mounted. In the Release position is the seating position of the seat shell for the Entry and exit of a child released. In the ready the catching table extends in front of a belly and across the child's legs. There is one in the catch table Airbag unit integrated, depending on one ent speaking signal of an impact sensor to a head and a child's breast suddenly expanding airbag having.
The object of the invention is to provide a child car seat to create the kind mentioned above, its retention effect a child's sitting position compared to the prior art is further improved.
This object is achieved in that the legs of the Trä gerbügels with a longitudinal extension towards the seat shell means for lateral guidance of the suddenly expandie retaining structure between its rest position on Cross member and an expan shifted towards the seat shell dated protective position are provided. By providing the Carrier bracket, it is possible to ge the restraint suitable to arrange in front of the child's sitting position and a defined space for the expansion of the restraint system to provide the so that a defined expan sion of the restraint structure on the sitting position of the child of the coordinated protective effect. The retention structure is preferably designed as an inflatable airbag. It can but also as a suitably designed area de be formed, which in the same way a retention kung and an energy-consuming catch of the head as well if necessary, the child's chest. The thigh are preferably horizontal in the vehicle longitudinal direction or in a defined angle, tailored to the seating position arranged inclined upwards or downwards. The side Guide means enable a defined shift of the Restraint structure preferably to the chest and abdomen of the child, creating the appropriate restraint function is achieved. Contrary to the state of the art this defined expansion is significantly improved Restraining effect, whereas the Air bag unfolds largely undefined and thus only can achieve a reduced retention effect.
In an embodiment of the invention, the support bracket is one - to a functional position of the Seat shell covered - running in the transverse direction of the vehicle Swivel axis between a rest position and a ready position shaft position pivotally mounted. This allows the Carrier bracket for getting the child in and out in easier Way to be swung away. The support bracket is preferably swiveling upwards, with other swiveling movements of the Carrier bracket can be provided. For his readiness position in which the restraint is activated the carrier bracket of course a corresponding lock assigned, which ensures that the support bracket also at those occurring when the restraint is triggered considerable recoil forces safely in its standby position sition remains.
In a further embodiment of the invention are the leadership Locking elements to secure the retaining structure assigned in its expanded protective position. Thereby it is ensured that the retaining structure also after its abrupt expansion remains in the protective position and thus a catch effect especially for the head of the child of the generated.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the guide medium guide profiles in the legs, in which since Linear guide elements arranged on the retaining structure are movably guided. This is a particularly simple and Reliable design to the restraint structure to convert his rest position into the protective position.
In a further embodiment of the invention are the leadership pro Filen serving as locking elements, sawtooth-like rest perform assigned. Because of this, along the leadership Profile-extending locking bars are used for the retaining bar form evenly in the longitudinal direction of the guide means stood rest points created at which the retaining structure depending on the size and weight the child can be locked in adapted protective positions is. Regardless of the child's stature, it becomes longitudinal the locking bars through the retaining structure, the appropriate Protected position and secured.
In a further embodiment of the invention is a restraint form a gas bag provided that expands from its The protective position is drained for energy consumption and so di is dimensioned that he is one even in the emptied state A child's head, covered and stretched represents. As a result, the gas bag has a double function, by on the one hand in its inflated protective position ne corresponding restraining effect for the child and the other a subsequent catch effect for the driver allows the child's head to tip forward.

A car seat 1 according to FIGS. 1 to 7 is arranged in FIGS . 1 and 4 in its functional position on a rear bench seat of a motor vehicle, the rear bench seat being only indicated in FIGS . 1 and 4. The Autokin dersitz is aligned in the direction of travel of a motor vehicle and fixed by means of a vehicle-fixed three-point seat belt in a manner not shown on the rear bench seat. In the illustrated embodiment, the child car seat 1 is composed of a load-bearing support shell 2 and a seat shell 3 , the shell 3 being provided with upholstery. In not Darge presented embodiments of the invention, the Autokin dersitz is constructed with a single shell, which shell is a rigid shell. In the illustrated embodiment, the seat shell 3 is pivotally movable by means of a pivot position 4 at one foot of the support shell 2 , and is fixed at its opposite end by means of an locking 5 to a head of the support shell 2 . The seat shell 3 can be folded away from the support shell in order to allow the vehicle-fixed seat belt to be passed through to fix the child car seat on the rear seat. The basic structure of the child car seat corresponds in particular with regard to its vehicle-fixed fi xing a child car seat, as described in the unpublished DE 197 11 812.7. For further explanations, reference is therefore made to the disclosure in this patent application. In the folded and locked functional position, however, the seat shell 3 and the support shell 2 act like a common, rigid seat shell. The two-part design of this seat shell is therefore not discussed in more detail below. Rather, the support shell 2 and the seat shell 3 are referred to below as a common seat shell 2 , 3 . On this seat shell 2 , 3 , a child safety belt 6 is anchored, which is preferably designed as a braces belt arrangement and serves to fix the child in a seating position of the seat shell 2 , 3 .
The child car seat 1 is assigned an additional device Rückhalteeinrich 12 for the sitting position of the child. This retaining device 12 is inte grated in a support bracket 7 , which is pivotally mounted about a in the functional position of the child car seat 1 in the vehicle transverse direction pivot axis 8 on the opposite side cheeks of the seat pan 2 , 3 . The carrier bracket can be pivoted between a release position shown in FIG. 3 and a standby position shown in FIGS . 1, 2 and 4 to 7 (in the direction of arrow S). Both in the area of the release position and in the area of the standby position, appropriate stops are provided in the pivot bearing or on the seat shell 2 , 3 , which limit the pivoting angle of the carrier bracket to approximately 90 °. In the illustrated embodiment, the standby position is aligned horizontally. In other embodiments of the invention, this standby position relative to the seating position of the seat shell 2 , 3 can also be arranged inclined upwards or downwards. The corresponding arrangement of the support bracket 7 in its standby position depends on the height of the articulation of the support bracket 7 on the seat shell 2 , 3 and on the desired direction of expansion of the retaining device 12 to be described in more detail below. To secure the carrier bracket 7 in its standby position according to FIGS . 1, 2 and 4 to 7 also against strong recoil forces of the retaining device 12 described below, a corresponding locking is provided for the carrier bracket 7 in the standby position, which is preferably in the area the pivot bearing is arranged. This can be released manually in order to pivot the support bracket 7 upwards from its ready position into its release position.
The support bracket 7 is composed of two in the exemplary embodiment line ar-aligned legs 9 and a free leg connecting the legs 9 connecting cross member 10 so that the support bracket 7 receives a U-shape. The legs 9 protrude radially to the pivot axis 8 from the seat shell 2 , 3 and, in the ready position of the support bracket 7, are oriented horizontally forward in the direction of travel in accordance with the exemplary embodiment shown. The cross member 10 it extends parallel to the pivot axis 8 between the two legs 9th The cross member 10 is tubular as a hollow profile and has a receiving space for the Rückhalteein direction 12 . The restraint device 12 is integrated in a receiving space of the cross member and has an airbag unit, also referred to as an airbag unit, which is composed of a gas generator 15 , an outflow diffuser 16 and an airbag 13 . The gas generator 15 is assigned a py rotary propellant which can be ignited in a manner known per se via a control unit depending on corresponding signals of an impact sensor unit. The corre sponding control and power supply lines are laid in the illustrated embodiment within a cross member 10 and within at least one of the two legs 9 and through the seat shell 2 , 3 and led to corre sponding vehicle-fixed units. In an embodiment not shown, the control unit and the impact unit are also integrated in the child car seat. The outflow openings of the diffuser 14 are directed toward the seat position of the seat shell 2 , 3 and thus against the direction of travel. On the side facing the seat position of the cross member 10 there is also a slot through which the gas bag 13 folded together in its rest position in the cross member 10 against the direction of travel towards th and thus can be suddenly inflated to the seat position of the seat pan 2 , 3 . The gas bag 13 has an approximately cylindrical shape in the inflated state.
In order to enable a more definite expansion of the gas bag 13 to a belly and to a chest of a child in the sitting position on the seat shell 2 , 3 , the gas bag 13 is also linearly movable on its opposite sides in appropriate guide arrangements 11 on an inside of the legs 9 guided. These guide arrangements serving as guide means can also be provided on an underside of each leg 9 . The gas bag 13 has on its opposite sides a respective guide plate 17, which the respective guide arrangement is slidably mounted linearver 11 in each case one guide profile of the associated leg. 9 The outflow nozzles of the diffuser 14 as well as the spatial shape of the gas bag 13 are designed such that no considerable forces are exerted on the guide tabs 17 during the sudden expansion of the gas bag 13 , which could cause the guide tabs 17 to jam or jam within the guide profiles. Each guide arrangement 11 is also assigned a locking bar 16 , which is profiled in a saw-like manner and extends parallel to the respective guide profile. As a counterpart to the Rastlei ste 16 , each guide tab 17 has a corresponding and unspecified locking pin, which is abge for an engagement in the respective locking teeth of the locking bar 16 . The two locking bars 16 in both legs 9 are designed with respect to their locking teeth in such a way that the corresponding locking bolts of the guide plates 17 can slide in the expansion direction without any appreciable resistance over the corresponding tooth flanks of the locking teeth. At the same time, the opposite flanks of the locking teeth are designed so steep that they block a renewed return movement of the locking bolts from the position once positively locked. The locking strips 16 thus lock the inflated gas bag 13 in its expanded protective position. Depending on how the stature of the child in the sitting position is designed, the gas bag 13 can expand more or less towards the child, so that the locking bolts of the guide tabs 17 snap into different locking positions on the locking bars 16 .
The guide tabs 17 of the airbag 13 are designed in connection with the associated guide profiles of each guide arrangement 11 at the same time such that they can absorb lateral forces in the transverse direction of the vehicle, so that the airbag 13 also remains open in its expanded protective position after it has emptied itself. The gas bag 13 thus forms in its expanded protective position, even during and after its emptying, a stretched-out surface structure which gently catches a head or a breast or the child.
