Die zuverlässige Zerkleinerung von Schlämmen auch während des Betriebs wechselnder Konsistenz (Erzschwankungen, Entmischungen im Bunker, Absetzun gen durch Transporterschütterungen etc.) ist das Anwendungsgebiet dieser Erfindung, die neben der zuverlässigen Zerkleinerung auch eine geregelte Anpassung im Betrieb in direkter Regelstrecke vom Sprühbild oder Ende des Produktionsprozesses her ermöglicht. Erfindungsgemäß kann durch die Walzen- Regelung der Spalt zwischen Abrißkante der Schnute (2) und der Treiberwalze (1) relativ größer gehalten werden, was die mögliche Durchsatzleistung erhöht und den Verschleiß herabsetzt. Erfindungsgemäß ist die mitlaufende Walze (3) auf einer steifen Rohrachse montiert, die den Exzenter enthält, auf dem die Walze (3) gelagert ist. Erfindungsgemäß kann bei solcher Montage auch Schlamm mit hohem Faseranteil durch zwei Walzen zuverlässig zerkleinert werden, wenn die Walzen gemäß Anordnung (7) ineinandergreifen und somit bei extrem schnellem Lauf eine Zerhackerwirkung entfalten. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Möglichkeit zum fließenden Übergang (Betätigung der Exzenterkurbel) zum Zerhacker-Betrieb wichtig für Einsatzfälle mit stark schwankender Schlammkonsistenz.
