Description
The present invention relates to a test ver drive and a test facility for authenticity control of authenticity marks, such as color marks to counter stood up, especially on documents, securities printed, and the like are provided.
It is known from the prior art, in particular Printed matter, such as preferably securities, banknotes ten and the like. To provide color features, in particular to be printed on, by means of which they have been awarded Authenticity characteristic the authenticity of the relevant counter status can be checked.
The device contains several with different ones Wavelength working optical transmitters, the temporal mo be dulated, and a broadband receiver as well a correlator that assigns the detected Emp Catch signals to entire spectral ranges.
From DE 30 20 652 C2 is known, especially out selected / manufactured printing inks for authenticity features / to provide or use brands. The z. B. on a Document printed color, the test purpose Patterns are created using a xenon flash, for example lamp illuminated. Of these colors, due to the Wavelength of such radiation luminescence / fluorescence Resence radiation emitting / reflecting emitted. This radiation is detected in a detector subjected to a spectral analysis and based on the spec tralanalytical result decided whether these be beamed brand that has authenticity. Sadly it is Counterfeiters relatively easily possible for such inks dyes used for authenticity to analyze and imitate. If this is achieved, it can be described bene system for authenticity check and practical be made worthless, although besides these specifically provided inks complex appearance with different Interference filters and the like for the respective test equipment tion has been spent.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present Invention, for testing an authenticity feature To find a method and such a test facility, the without such an elaborate look and with conventional electronic components in simple Way to be carried out or to be realized.
This task is accomplished with the method according to Patentan claim 1 or the test device according to claim 8, 9 and in further education according to respective subclaims solves.
This device can preferably be lightweight be led, and is especially as a portable test advises to use.
The invention is based on the finding that through only narrowband radiation / excitation of the (Color of) authenticity mark in at least two of each other different (at most slightly overlapping) Wavelength ranges with in predefinable wavelengths distance spaced respective middle wavelengths characteristic intensity values of that for this color characteristic spectrum curve, d. H. dependency the intensity of the wavelength, or for the respective Average of the respective narrow-band wavelengths empire, are noticeable. From measurements in several, we at least two such adjacent narrow wavelengths a respective slope value can then be determined the characteristic spectrum curve mentioned above Determine color and check as authenticity.
Further explanations of the procedure go from the following description to according to the invention test procedures in their respective test facility ger design emerges.
Recording the characteristic spectrum curve a color is in itself common in another context and facilities to be used for this are known. How already mentioned above, is used for the spectral analysis Evaluation of a color either different wavelengths gene selective or with regard to wavelength selection tunable optical devices on at least the Sender or receiver side.
Dies erspart Korrek turen. In the case of the invention, however, that of the invention is green made simplification usable, individual selek tive transmit wavelength ranges and Detekto to use that are not necessarily wavelengths are gene selective. The test unit working according to the invention direction is designed or is to be operated so that the emission of radiation of various types provided here narrow wavelength ranges according to a preferred Va riante of the test facility only time-division multiplex, d. H. No way simultaneously for the different wavelength ranges, he follows. Different beams are used in the invention tion sources, preferably luminescent diodes, each at because different wavelengths of radiation only narrow wel length ranges, used, which are easier Have time switched multiplexed. Therefore, the ser variant of the invention uses a detector device zen that have no wavelength selective property got to. It is even advantageous to use a non-selective detector to use the tor for all intended wavelengths areas is equally sensitive. This saves Korrek tures.
Is the testing device working according to the invention trained that they broadcast in time-multiplexed selects given various narrow wavelengthsbe ranges from and with the detector arrangement the irradiated authenticity feature at the respective time point (again) outgoing beam falling into the detector determination is equally quantitative, is the respective The steepness of the measurement signal curve as a prescribable authenticity feature reliably verifiable. This is with the invention execute with correspondingly little technical effort bar. With the invention can be different from each other Printing inks, d. H. a real color with the authenticity mark times, from another, this authenticity feature doesn't pointing color. this is also valid when the broadband used in the invention Integral detector for the entire spectral range detection characteristics matching for both colors ten.
Further explanations of the invention are based on the Figures given, the additional disclosure content to Er are.

Fig. 4 shows an example of the optics of the device.
Fig. 1 shows the principle of construction and the loading drive, a test device 10 of the invention in allgemeinster form. 1 designates a control unit with which time-division multiplexing can optionally control one of the two transmitters 2 1 and 2 2 for emitting radiation. When the transmitter 2 1 is controlled, it emits narrowband radiation a 1 . When the transmitter 2 2 is activated, the radiation a 2 is emitted from it. The two radiations a 1 and a 2 differ in the mean wavelength value of their respective narrow (at most insignificantly overlapping at most) wavelength ranges. The two wavelength ranges have a predetermined distance from each other for the construction of the test facility. For such transmitters 2 1 and 2 2 are particularly suitable semiconductor luminescent diodes which have relatively narrow wavelength ranges of their emission, which are available in a corresponding selection and which can be operated easily in a time-multiplexed manner, ie in a time-selective manner.
The radiations a 1 and a 2 are both aligned to one and the same surface element of an authenticity mark 3 . From this authenticity mark 3 , radiation b is emitted both when irradiating a 1 and when irradiating a 2, which radiation is collected by a detector 4 . Depending on whether it has been excited by radiation a 1 or a 2, this radiation b has different wavelengths (different wavelength ranges). However, since the detector 4 is broadband, it delivers, regardless of whether irradiation a 1 or a 2 has occurred, a respective detector signal which corresponds to the detected intensity of the radiation b received (at the corresponding time).
The output signals of the detector 4 reach an evaluation unit 5 . This is communicated via the connection 6 from the control unit 1 , which transmitter 2 1 or 2 2 emits radiation at the moment, namely at the time of reception of the detector signal of the detector 4 in the evaluation unit 5 . In this way, the received reception signal of the detector 4 of the respective transmission radiation a 1 or a 2 can be assigned to the evaluation 5 at a specific point in time.
The connection 6 of FIG. 1 can be omitted if only two transmitters ( 2 1 and 2 2 ) are assigned to each detector ( 4 ).
The basic arrangement of FIG. 1 can also be equipped with further wavelength-selective transmitters (still other wavelength ranges) such as the transmitters 2 1 or 2 2 , which likewise irradiate the area element of the authenticity mark in a time-multiplexed manner and also give rise to the emission of radiation b. This radiation then received in the detector 4 can also be assigned to the respective transmission wavelength range by means of the signal of the line 6 .
In spite of non-wavelength-selective detection, the invention makes it possible to unambiguously assign the instantaneous detector signal to a specific wavelength range (the radiation a 1 or a 2 or...) Due to the time multiplex operation in the evaluation unit 5 . The measurement signals of the detectors are evaluated by the evaluation unit 5 according to their DC component and their AC component in the signal. From this, the courses in the spectrum of the radiation b in the relevant wavelength range can be assessed. On the basis of these dynamically recorded courses, results are output by an output unit 7 .
Fig. 2 shows the respective degree of re flexion for three colors, depending on the wavelength. Curve 21 is the one that belongs to a specially selected black color that can be used as a selected authenticity feature. Such a second curve 22 of a corresponding second color (for a second / alternative selectable authenticity feature) is also indicated. Curve 222 is the corresponding curve for another (usual) printing ink. In FIG. 2, the middle Wellenlän gen 20 1m, 20 2m of the narrow wavelength regions 20 1 and 20 2 of the radiations a 1 and a 2 are marked. It is evident from FIG. 2 how different the reflection values, ie the respective intensity values of the radiation b, are when the respective color (time-multiplexed according to the invention) is irradiated with radiation a 1 and radiation a 2 . Measured values 23 and 24 are obtained for the color (an authenticity mark) with curve 21 . These measured values represent the ver authenticity feature hidden in this color of the curve 21 , which can be checked with the device of the invention for its presence. The second color with the curve 22 gives completely different reflection values 123 and 124 for the wavelength ranges of the radiation a 1 and a 2 as a second alternative authenticity feature. For the third curve 222 of another printing ink one obtains e.g. B. the reflection values 223 and 224 . From the respective pairs of values 23 and 24 , 123 and 124 as well as 223 and 224 , the respective mean slope between the wavelength values 20 1m and 20 2m is obtained for the respective curve 21 , 22 and 222 . These slopes of these curves are clearly different from one another. This makes it possible not only to distinguish the slopes of curves 21 and 22 as authenticity features from those of curve 222 of a normal printing ink, but also to distinguish those of curves 21 and 22 from one another as authenticity features that differ from one another.
A test device according to the invention can ver applied color of authenticity in the ultra violet, visible and / or infrared spectral range ar be operated.
Die einzelnen Sender 2 1, 2 2, . . . . besteht, ist gleichartiger Aufbau von Vorteil. The individual channels 2 1 , 2 2,. , , the transmitter arrangement 2 are spatially arranged as close as possible in favor of a simplified structure with regard to the optical paths. For a detector 4 consisting of several individual detectors 4 1 , 4 2 ,. , , there is a similar structure is advantageous.
Another advantageous variant of the test device according to FIG. 1 is one according to FIG. 1a with one for the individual wavelength ranges 20 1 , 20 2 ,. , , the radiations a 2 , a 2,. , , selectively sensitive detector arrangement 4 ', namely instead of the non-selectively operating detector arrangement 4 of FIG. 1. This selective detector arrangement comprises z. B. correspondingly many individual selective detectors 4 ' 1 , 4' 2,. , . which individually send their signal to the evaluation unit 5 . In this variant, the emission of the selective radiation a 1 , a 2 ,. , , done simultaneously. In response to this irradiation, the selective radiations b 1 , b 2 ,. , , from the authenticity feature to the detector arrangement and are there selectively by the individual detectors 4 1 ', 4 2 ',. , , recorded and converted into electrical signals for the evaluation unit 5 . The selectivity of the individual detectors 4 1 ', 4 2 ' can be caused by filters or based on the inherent selectivity property of the individual detectors. The connection 6 of FIG. 1 can be omitted in the variant of FIG. 1a.
According to the test result, which can be obtained by means of a test device according to the invention, at. Recognition of authenticity a signal to a unit 7 , z. B. to peripheral devices, such as to a printing plant, to locks or locks and the like for control to the same. This unit 7 can be used to process the results of the evaluation for control, signaling or alarming via z. B. electrical, optical and / or acoustic outputs. The evaluation results can also be saved as data and / or forwarded to central data processing.
With the invention, a local selection, based on a predetermined geometric arrangement of authenticity marks, can also be carried out, in particular, as an additional measure of the authenticity check. To this end, FIG. 3 (as an example) in two area-uniform distance from each other on z. B. a ticket 32 attached authenticity stamps 30 1 , 30 2 with authenticity feature according to the invention. In egg ner testing device 10 according to the invention you then receive when inserting or pushing through (arrow 35 ) such a ticket through the optical part 11 of the testing device one after the other the number of these authenticity tags accordingly many (here two) approving signals from the evaluation unit 5 , namely only if these authenticity stamps are genuine.
As a further increase in the precision of the authenticity check, it can be provided that these two authenticity marks 30 1 , 30 2 (and possibly other such authenticity marks) also differ from one another. When playing for the can (see FIG. 2) as the predetermined authenticity features to be determined slopes of the spectrum curves 21, 22 at these two (and also for other) authenticity marks be chosen differently. When pushing through or checking such a ticket, determined by one and the same transmitter / detector arrangement 2 and 4 of the testing device 10 , one after the other, exactly in the sequence specified on the ticket, such result in mutually different measured values which correspond to the predetermined different slopes of the spectrum curves of the individual authenticity marks following one another.
Such an embodiment of the test according to the invention outwitting direction with fake authenticity marks to wol len is practically hopeless because of the authenticity features are hidden in the authenticity marks, d. H. within z. B. black color otherwise indistinguishable as real are positioned on the ticket and, if necessary, also in their authenticity feature (Stei supply value) can be specified differently.
Instead of, or in addition to, time can coincide other subsequent verification of authenticity marks timely, namely if the test facility with meh several measuring stands distributed throughout the area, the correspondingly distributed locations on the document the test process with sending and receiving at the same time radiation and evaluate the result do this.
As stated, the invention can be done in a simple manner and can be determined with simple equipment, whether a z. B. black color has the authenticity feature or not, although this is the authenticity feature Color of other (e.g. black) color is not visible is to be distinguished. This opens up the possibility of that Authenticity feature in other, with z. B. also black zer color printed surface, e.g. B. not with the eye recognizable, locally hidden on z. B. a document bring.
The inks as authenticity can be on and / or in the carrier material, such as. B. paper, plastic, textile or the like may be provided. You can, as be wrote as any geometric pattern and / or also (more or less) all over on / over the Ge object to be distributed. For example, the paper or the same also with the color bearing the color feature to be soaked.
FIG. 4 shows (z. B. in addition to Figs. 1 and 3) when the game for one another arrangement of a transmitter assembly 2 and a detector array 4 and the mark in performing the authentication process to be placed authenticity 3. The directional radiation a of the respective wavelength range strikes the authenticity mark 3 . From this, the radiation b to be detected originates, which arrives in the detector arrangement 4 . The further device details of this device for the authenticity check correspond to those which have already been described and explained for FIG. 1.
The invention is described above for radiation b reflected by the authenticity mark. As an alternative to this, the method and the corresponding test device in the variants described can also work with radiation transmitted by the authenticity feature (b '). Instead of recording the reflected radiation b with the detector 4 as in FIG. 4, when working with transmission, radiation b ′ which has passed through the authenticity feature is to be collected with the correspondingly positioned detector.
