Die Bremsflüssigkeit kann durch das Gestänge in den Bremssattel gelangen oder es kann ebenso der Bremsschlauch durch das Lenkgestänge durchgeführt werden und mit dem Kugelkopf verbunden werden. Das Kugelgelenk befindet sich direkt im Bremssattel und wird beim Betätigen der Bremse von Öl umspült. Dies gewährleistet zudem eine ausreichende Schmierung des Gelenkes.
