Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an overvoltage protection system stem for an EMC protection zone or the like according to the in the generic features of claim 1 more closely neten Art.
Such surge protection systems are selected according to depending on how voltage-proof the devices and electrical Plants are installed in the respective EMC protection zone be lated. For example, genes exist in engines rators or shooters have less high protection requirements than it is the case with electronic devices such as computers. Ent speaking of these differentiated requirements EMC protection zones equipped with surge protective devices the different voltage limits for activation tion of their discharge paths.
It is also known to have high energy transients as well low-energy transients, such as those in power supply occur with overvoltage protection devices under to be able to eliminate different dimensions. Correspond according to the parameters of the respective arrester components are such surge arresters for a specific on area and a specific location. It therefore occurs frequently, in span networks over span to have to build up at least two stages in order to with the first stage the larger energies of a transient derive and with a second stage the remaining energetically lower overvoltages for the reduce the value of closed devices. always more derivation levels are more often necessary, when it comes to protecting extremely sensitive devices. Man then it has to do with cascading the derivative, as described in DE-43 17 191 A1. The bauli che effort of such a cascading of the derivation very high.
Surge protection devices of the first stage, which are used for the Ab high energy transients are determined usually a different structure than those downstream Surge protection devices that serve as fine protection. Thus, surge protective devices for the discharge of high genetic transients usually have a spark gap, which requires an ignition energy to function the arc required for discharge at all can form. For this reason alone, it has not been possible in a single over voltage surge protection system Voltage protection device for deriving all occurring tran served to get along.
The object of the present invention is therefore an over voltage protection system of the generic type fen, in which one within the relevant EMC protection zone with a single surge arrester for discharge both the more energetic and the less energetic Transients gets along.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a span Protection system of the generic type by the kenn Drawing features of claim 1 solved.
For the surge protection system according to the invention, we substantial that the voltage limit of the overvoltage protection device according to the derivation of the energy-rich Transients that occur in the relevant EMC protection zone is designed, but the activation of the discharge path also occurs when lower energy transients occur occur, which are recorded in the evaluation electronics. over the evaluation electronics are immediately switched on the ignition generator controls the discharge path in the surge protective device activated, so here creates conditions as they otherwise only when deriving the high-energy transien occur. In this way, the discharge path of the Surge protection device in action, the ener weaker transients derived, which are not in themselves would be able to discharge the surge protection device, such as the spark gap of a surge arrester conductor to ignite.
Advantageous design features of the invention result itself from the subclaims.
Dabei zeigen: The invention is described below with reference to the drawing management examples explained in more detail. Show:

In detail, the two conductors 1 L and N of a single-phase AC power line in a abzusi chernden EMC protection zone seen in FIG.. For this purpose, an overvoltage protection device 1 , namely a surge arrester with an ignitable spark gap, is arranged between the conductors L and N. The overvoltage device 1 is an electronic unit 7 with an ignition generator 8 , which, under the conditions described below, ignites the spark of the overvoltage protection device 1 even when the overvoltages occurring between the conductors L and N are necessary for the in the EMC protection zone to protect the electrical devices are already harmful, are not yet sufficient to ignite the discharge path in the overvoltage protection device 1 . In this case, the discharge path to be acti vated in the overvoltage protection device 1 is externally controlled, for which in turn the ignition generator 8 must receive a corresponding ignition pulse. For this purpose, the electronics unit 7 can have a monostable multivibrator, which triggers the discharge of a charged voltage storage device as an ignition generator 8 via the overvoltage protection device 1 .
A digital ignition pulse is transmitted to the electronics unit 7 via a line 10 and is generated in an evaluation electronics 2 . The evaluation electronics 2 is equipped with a first sensor 4 , which is connected to the live conductors L and N in the EMC protection zone in such a way that it detects any kind of voltage transients. The same applies to a second sensor 5 with regard to the current transients to be determined, which can also lead to overvoltages to be derived. A third sensor 6 is provided in the evaluation electronics 2 in order to be able to monitor the frequency state and possibly impermissible frequency changes in an analogous manner, which can result in an overvoltage. The three sensors 4 , 5 and 6 are connected to a threshold detector 3 , which processes the signals from the sensors 4 , 5 and 6 in such a way that in the event of any type of transient, that is to say both with less energetic and with higher-energy transients, the ignition generator 8 in the Electronics unit 7 is fed an ignition pulse via line 10 .
At the evaluation electronics 2 , an electronic part 9 is divided, which is connected via a feedback line 11 to the surge protective device 1 . In this way, the electronic part 9 receives feedback of the ignition success of the overvoltage protection device 1 , however, no such feedback is received, an ignition pulse to the ignition generator 8 is given again via the line 10 via the threshold detector 3 of the evaluation electronics 2 . This can also be made dependent on the instantaneous measured values obtained on sensors 4 , 5 and 6 .
Fig. 2 illustrates the connection of a bus system 12 to the evaluation electronics 2 , which is here directly to the electronics part 9 for the feedback of the ignition success is connected. The bus system 12 has a plurality of decoding units 14 , the number of which depends on the function and status data to be detected. All data can be stored in a data acquisition system 13 and can be called up as required. Values for the ignition frequency, the aging of the components and, if necessary, the integration of several protective devices, and the location of the measured overvoltage can be recorded here. The electronic part 9 can also be controlled via the data acquisition system 13 in order to carry out tests if necessary, that is to say to trigger the ignition generator 8 via the threshold value detector 3 of the evaluation electronics 2 .
Fig. 3 shows a stem of the machine in question Überspannungssy certain control electronics 2, in which the sensors 4, 5 and 6 for the detection of the states of the voltage and the frequency, flows are outsourced. These sensors 4 , 5 and 6 are connected here via electrical or optical lines to the evaluation electronics 2 , with light waveguides having the corresponding opto-electrical coupling devices as well as the other lines of the entire surge protection system having the advantage of being EMC-free be. So in a EMC zone to be protected on one floor, the surge protection device 1 ( FIGS. 1 and 2) can be placed in the floor distributor, the evaluation electronics 2, however, at the beginning of a cable duct in a room, while the sensors 4 , 5 and 6 each on the Connected to an EMC-sensitive device in the cable duct.
Fig. 4 shows a variant in which the Auswertelek electronics is divided, so here is each of the three sensors 4 , 5 and 6 for the voltage, current and the frequency stand an evaluation electronics part 2 ', 2 ''and 2nd Assigned, all three evaluation electronics are connected here with a common electronics part 9 , which is connected to the feedback line 11 with the overvoltage protection device 1 (FIGS . 1 and 2) and from which the line 10 for the ignition generator 8 is also implemented . Each of the three evaluation electronics parts 2 ', 2 '', 2 ''' has its own threshold value detector 3 ', 3 '', 3 ''', which can nevertheless reduce the overall construction effort, since only a single electronics part 9 is particularly suitable for the data acquisition to be carried out is required. Above all, depending on the application, different sensors 4 , 5 or 6 with a corresponding threshold value detector 3 can be used with this embodiment.
