Abstract

A method for setting functions in a facsimile includes the steps of defining different operating conditions in a facsimile as function groups; storing each of the function groups; and, when one of the function groups is selected, setting the operating condition of the facsimile according thereto. Such a method permits a user to set functions of the facsimile with the least time and effort since the method allows change of operating conditions of a facsimile with simple or automatic (e.g. day and night time mode switching) key manipulation, and has very low probability of error occurrence.
