Abstract

The CCP system has a plate1 that has an aperture through which the cable passes and on the inner side there is an adjustable clamping unit near to the opening. With the clamping unit set the cable connection is protected against loads and against unauthorised removal. The unit is fixed to the personal computer by screws and there is a hinged link 2 for support.

A. Initiation of a patent application

Das hier beschriebene Ausführungsbeispiel ist speziell für einen Mini-Tower konzipiert. Alle folgenden Angaben beziehen sich darauf.The embodiment described here is specially designed for a mini tower. All the following information refers to it.

An der Rückseite eines PCs befinden sich viele Buchsen. Von hier gehen Kabel zu Monitor und Drucker etc. ab. Diese Stecker und Kabel können jedoch leicht unbefugt entfernt werden, was zum Absturz des PC führen kann. Bei Workstations in einem Netzwerk (z. B. in einer Schule), kann dies u. U. zum Absturz bzw. zum Zusammenbruch des gesamten Netzwerkes führen. Die Anbringung des CCP verhindert unbefugtes Entfernen der Kabel. Der CCP wird folgendermaßen gebaut:There are many sockets on the back of a PC. Zuerst werden die einzelnen Teile ausgeschnitten. Dann werden die Löcher gebohrt, gefräst, gestanzt, etc.. In Hauptteil 1 werden Langlöcher gefräst, und die Öffnung wird ausgestanzt. In das Scharnier 2 werden ebenfalls Langlöcher gefräst. In die Blechstreifen 5 werden zwei Löcher mit 3,2 mm Durchmesser gebohrt. In den Blechstreifen 6 werden zwei M3 Gewinde geschnitten (Fig. 1). Danach werden die verschiedenen Stücke des Hauptteils 1 abgekantet (um 90° nach oben gebogen), (Fig. 2, 3, 4). Ist dies geschehen, werden der Blechstreifen 5 und Scharnier 2 an Hauptteil 1, sowie Scharnier 3 an Blechstück 4 angeschweißt (Fig. 5), dann Scharnier 3 mit Blechstück 4 an Hauptteil 1 (Fig. 6, 7). Nun müssen nur noch die Schrauben eingeführt werden (Fig. 8). Jetzt kann der fertige CCP am PC montiert werden. Dafür müssen zuerst die Schrauben des PC- Gehäuses gelöst werden (Fig. 9). Auf Grund seiner Schlitzleisten kann der CCP bei verschiedensten Schraubenabständen montiert werden. Als nächstes werden zwei der entfernten Schrauben in die Schlitzleiste von Scharnier 2 gesteckt und wieder in den PC eingeschraubt. Nun werden die Kabel eingelegt. Hierfür muß zuerst die obere Schraube 7 gelöst und entfernt werden. Dann werden die Stecker durch den oberen Teil der Öffnung geführt, und die Kabel, am besten der Größe nach sortiert, in den unteren Teil der Öffnung eingelegt. Nun werden die anderen zwei Gehäuseschrauben durch die Schlitzleiste des Hauptteils 1 gesteckt, der CCP an den PC angeschwenkt, und die Schrauben eingedreht. Danach wird die Schraube 7 wieder eingeführt und zusammen mit der Schraube 8 so fest angezogen, daß sich die Kabel nicht mehr herausziehen lassen. Nun können weder Kabel noch Stecker am PC unbefugt entfernt werden.First the individual parts are cut out. Due to its slotted strips, the CCP can be installed with a wide variety of screw spacings. Next, two of the removed screws are inserted into the slot strip of hinge 2 and screwed back into the PC. Now the cables are inserted. To do this, the upper screw 7 must first be loosened and removed. Then the plugs are led through the upper part of the opening and the cables, best sorted according to size, are inserted into the lower part of the opening. Now the other two housing screws are inserted through the slotted strip of main part 1 , the CCP is swiveled onto the PC, and the screws are screwed in. Then screw 7 is reinserted and tightened together with screw 8 so that the cables can no longer be pulled out. Now neither the cable nor the connector on the PC can be removed without authorization.

Der CCP kann auch für andere PC′s verwendet werden. Hierfür muß bei einem Tower lediglich die Höhe und die Breite mit in den Plan einbezogen werden (s. Plan). Bei einem Desktop muß wahrscheinlich auch das Scharnier 2 an eine andere Stelle des Hauptteils 1 verlegt werden. Außerdem muß eventuell auch die Tiefe des CCP verändert werden. Es kann vorkommen, daß die Gehäuseschrauben des PC zu kurz sind. In diesem Fall müssen sie gegen längere ausgetauscht werden.The CCP can also be used for other PCs. Claims

1. Device for protecting computer cables and plugs, characterized in that the plugs and the cables on the back of the PC are protected against unauthorized removal.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) is made of perforated plate.

3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the device has an opening for carrying out the Owns cable.

4. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that on the inside of the device there is a well-fixed, adjustable clamping device ( 12 ) next to the opening.

5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adjustable clamping device relieves the cables, and thus protects them against unauthorized removal.

6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) is attached to the housing screws of the PC's on the PC.

7. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) has a hinge ( 2 ), and is thus pivotable.

8. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) and the hinge ( 2 ) have slot strips, and thus the device ( 1 ) can be mounted at all possible screw spacings.

9. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) has on the inside a flap which closes the upper part of the opening.
