Die erfindungsgemäße Matte 1 besteht im Ausführungsbeispiel aus zahlreichen elastischen Elementen 2 von etwa 1 bis 1,5 m Länge. Die Elemente 2, 3 sind über Schnüre 4 miteinander verbunden, wobei im Ausführungsbeispiel zwei Schnüre vorgesehen sind. Man kann natürlich beliebig viele vorsehen. Die Schnüre 4 sind durch die Elemente 2, 3 durchgefädelt und an ihren Enden jeweils zu Schlaufen 5 gebunden. Durch die fertiggesteckte Hülse 7 in der radialen Bohrung 6 wird dann die Schnur 4 oder dergleichen durchgefädelt. In diesem Fall kann man auch das Sicherungselement, im Ausführungsbeispiel eine Kugel 22, innerhalb der Hülse vorsehen und es so bemessen, daß sein Außendurchmesser gleich dem Innendurchmesser des Schaftes 12′ ist. So kann man die erfindungsgemäße Matte aufhängen und als Hängematte benutzen. Zur Verstärkung kann man hinter den Abschlußelementen 3 noch zusätzliche elastische Elemente 2 vorsehen. In Fig. 6 ist die Verwendung als Floß gezeigt, zum Beispiel für Swimming-Pools in großen Badelandschaften. In diesem Fall sind zwei Matten 1, 1′ übereinander gelegt und durch eine Verschlaufung 23 miteinander verbunden, also praktisch miteinander "vernäht". An der Unterseite der Matte 1′ kann man auch einzelne elastische Elemente 2 vorsehen. Man kann die Matten 1, 1′ einzeln übereinander legen und miteinander verschlaufen, man kann aber auch eine einzelne Matte 1 am Stück verwenden und diese umklappen, wobei am Knick die Schnur 4 etwas verlängert wird, so daß die betreffenden elastischen Elemente 2 nicht direkt zueinander benachbart sind.
