Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for Ultrasound monitoring of rooms, especially of Interiors of motor vehicles, in which periodically first from an ultrasound transmitter bursts into the to be monitored and given immediately followed by an ultrasound receiver that reflected Ultrasonic signal (room response) detected and that Envelope signal of the detected room response signal with a predefinable reference profile is compared, and a Device for performing the method.
A method of this type is known from DE 34 32 292 A1 known. In this procedure from Ultrasonic transmitter bursts with a certain frequency or power generated and those recorded by the recipient Signals for the room response as an acoustic / physical spatial image or spatial pattern in the memory of a Microprocessor read. The analysis of the spatial pattern takes place in that the selective Reception amplifier of the ultrasound receiver with a Envelope modulator is connected. In every period there is a one-off suggestion of the monitored item Interior with the ultrasonic signal bursts, so that in signals of new spatial patterns continuously every period can be read in, whereby the new room pattern with the original spatial pattern and / or with each other be compared. When the room pattern changes over an alarm is triggered for a predetermined amount.
Another method of ultrasound monitoring of Broaching is known from DE 32 26 517 C2. With this The procedure also takes place at the beginning of the period the transmission of a signal burst from, for example 0.4 ms. Following the decay time of the signal burst (1.6 ms) the analysis is carried out by the receiver determined signal values by at fixed times the intensity of a signal sum from all superimposed single or multiple reflected signals that are in characterize the whole of the room, measured becomes. This measurement sequence from intensity values is with a Reference sequence compared, the unchanged space characterized and it occurs at between the corresponding intensity values of the signal sequence inadmissibly high deviations a corresponding Alarm. This procedure requires that following the activation times of the recipient, in which the reflected signal values are entered, another period until the end of the period is required to the appropriate Comparative operations between the measurement sequence and the Make reference sequence.
Another method for ultrasound monitoring of Broaching is known from DE 38 38 150 A1. This is done by the ultrasound receiver during the measuring time Creation of a time / measurement profile, whereby successive time / measured value profiles with each other be compared. With this method, transmitters and Receiver controlled so that the broadcast times for the Ultrasonic pulse and the measuring times of the receiver approximately coincide. This is supposed to Initial phase in building the room response to the Ultrasound pulse can be analyzed.
The invention has for its object a method of the type mentioned above to further develop that both in terms of its Accuracy is improved as well Energy saving options for the operation of transmitters and Recipient delivers.
This object is achieved in that at least two signal bursts within the period are sent, the distance between which is selected so that immediately after capturing the from the previous Signal burst generated room response the next Signal burst is sent, and that to two successive signal bursts belonging to spatial responses are compared with each other, with one Falling below the permissible deviation between the two Envelope signals a pause until the end of the Period duration takes place and when one or The control is exceeded if the permissible deviation is exceeded a subordinate facility for further analysis of the Comparison signal takes place.
The invention is characterized in that in Difference to the known methods within one Period duration of several, in particular two, excitation cycles with subsequent recording of the room response take place so that a within the period Comparison of those belonging to the room responses Analysis profiles can be done. The invention is the Consideration that in this way, on the one hand acts that are alarming are recognized in an even shorter time be, without affecting the runtime effects on the change of the ultrasound field. Furthermore, can when no such alarm-prone action is detected the remaining time period of the set Period duration of approx. 500 ms as pause time - and therefore without energy - pass. By comparison two directly successive room responses according to the invention the storage of an additional separate reference curve is no longer required. Much more the previous room response serves as a reference curve for the following. Becomes an impermissible deviation between the two envelopes can still to a possible one within the current period Alarm case can be responded by detailed Signal analyzes are carried out. If, conversely, no impermissible Difference, it can be concluded that also in the remaining rest of the period Probability of an alarming event very much is low, so that on further energy consuming Measures can be dispensed with.
Preferred embodiments of the method according to claim 1 are in the Subclaims 2 to 4 are shown. Starting from one technological period of about 0.5 s and a usual ultrasonic frequency of approx. 40 kHz the invention uses burst signal durations of 0.4 ins or Measuring times from 30 to 35 ms. This means that the Distance between two signal bursts is approx. 50 ms, with an additional following a signal burst Cooldown of about 2 ms can be taken into account.
The invention is described below with reference to a drawing explained in more detail:

Fig. 2 shows the time course of transmitted or received ultrasonic signals in the prior art.
The time diagrams shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are shown on the corresponding time scale, the total length of the time line containing approximately 1000 ms.
The period for the excitation of the to be monitored Space using ultrasound is according to the Embodiment 500 ms.
In the prior art ( FIG. 2), the area to be monitored is initially excited in time segment A by means of rectangular ultrasound transmission pulses. The resulting echo B of the room to be monitored is then analyzed. The analysis extends over the entire area of the remaining period until the next ultrasound excitation A takes place at the beginning of the subsequent period.
In contrast to this takes place according to the invention Solution in each period at the beginning of one double suggestion with immediately consecutive Ultrasound pulses (bursts) and then each time Analysis of the echo caused by the burst excitation.
Dabei lassen sich folgende Zeitabschnitte unterscheiden:
Abschnitt I.:
The following time periods can be differentiated:
Section I .:
This is the period of time within which the ultrasonic burst is at full power. This time period corresponds to approximately 400 μs, so that 16 pulses can be sent at an ultrasound frequency of 40 kHz according to the exemplary embodiment.
Abschnitt II.:
Dieser Zeitabschnitt entspricht der
Abklingzeit des Ultraschallbursts und beträgt im
Ausführungsbeispiel etwa 2 ms.Section II .:
This time period corresponds to the decay time of the ultrasound burst and is approximately 2 ms in the exemplary embodiment.
Abschnitt III.:
entsprechenden Burstdauer (Abschnitt I,
Pausenzeitabschnitt II und Meßzeit Abschnitt III).Section III .:
This time range corresponds to the period in which measured values corresponding to the room response are read into the ultrasound receiver. The total measuring time is 32 ms, within which 160 measured values can be read, the distance between which is 200 µs. This measuring time is sufficient to also detect objects that are only detected by the sound after repeated reflections. On the other hand, this measuring time is so short that the periods I to III add up to a duration of less than 50 ms. Then there is a second excitation with the corresponding burst duration (section I, break time section II and measuring time section III).
The acquisition of the measured values at the respective measuring times (Section III) takes place in such short succession that the adversely affect the prior art Runtime effects can be disregarded. If there is a change between the two sequences of measured values, it can therefore be assumed that an alarm Event has occurred. So you can react immediately be by either before the period expires an alarm is triggered immediately or a more accurate one Analysis of the nature of the possible event (Temperature changes, slump or other Manipulations on the vehicle) can be connected.
Conversely, if none or only one there will be a slight difference between the two measured values is detected, it can be assumed that within of the remaining period no further alarm-prone event will occur. Thus comes According to the invention to bear the advantage that in the remaining period no activation of transmitter or recipient must be done more and corresponding Energy savings can be made.
