In der Fig. 1 ist schematisch eine Verbrennungskraftmaschine (1) dargestellt. Zur Herstellung einer solchen Maschine müssen in der Produktionskette eine Vielzahl von einzelnen Bauteilen bereitgestellt und zusammengefügt werden. Zur Abdichtung des Abgasrohres (2) gegenüber dem Motorblock (3) ist eine Flachdichtung (4) (Fig. 2) vorgesehen. Die Flachdichtung (4) ist erfindungsgemäß mit Zentrier- und Befestigungsmitteln (5, 5′) versehen, die beispielsweise als Federbügel ausgebildet sind. Mit Hilfe der Federbügel (5, 5′) ist es nunmehr möglich, die Flachdichtung (4) zum Beispiel beim Hersteller des Abgasrohres auf den Flansch des Abgasrohres (2) zu befestigen.
