Der Generator erzeugt vorzugsweise Drehstrom, der in einer elektrischen Regeleinheit (4) in den für den Betrieb des Elektrofahrzeuges notwendigen elektrischen Strom, vorzugsweise Gleichstrom, umgewandelt wird. Der elektrische Strom wird über die Kupplung (8) in das Elektrofahrzeug eingespeist. Der Treibstoff, in diesem Falle Benzin, wird in den Tanks (5) und (6) mitgeführt. Zur Kühlung des Motor ist ein Wasserkühler an der Front des Anhängers angeordnet. Der Verbrennungsmotor kann wahlweise durch einen auf dem Anhänger vorhandenen Akkumulator oder durch Zuführung der elektrischen Energie des Elektrofahrzeuges gestartet werden. Der Anhänger ist mit den notwendigen Einrichtungen für den Betrieb im öffentlichen Straßenverkehr, wie Auflaufbremse, Rück-, Brems- und Richtungslichter, Nummernschild und Feststellbremse (10) versehen.An embodiment of the trailer with a gasoline engine is described as an example. Anhänger für elektrisch angetriebene Automobile, insbesondere Personenkraftwagen, der bedarfsweise an- und abkoppelbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich in dem Anhänger eine elektrische Energie liefernde Einrichtung befindet, derart, daß die elektrische Energie über eine elektrische Leitung dem Elektrofahrzeug zugeführt werden kann und damit zur vollen oder teilweisen Energieversorgung des Fahrzeuges dient, wobei die elektrische Energie in einer für das Fahrzeug geeigneten Form als Gleichstrom, Wechselstrom oder Drehstrom erzeugt wird und die Bereitstellung der notwendigen elektrischen Parameter (Spannung, Frequenz, Strombegrenzung) durch eine im Anhänger befindliche Wandlerelektronik erfolgt.1.
