Abstract

The insert comprises a single sheet (2) of flat material such as paper and folded at one place (1). The two layers are joined together along their side edges opposite the fold and at their bottom edges by a seam (6,7), particularly an embossed one. Bestimmend für die Kontur des aufgefalteten Filtereinsatzes ist zum einen die Knickfalte und die innere Begrenzungslinie der gegenüberliegenden Seitennaht und zum anderen die innere Begrenzungslinie der Bodennaht. Für einen fachgerechten Gebrauch sollen die Filtereinsätze über diese Linien umgefaltet und in die den verschiedenen Formaten entsprechenden Filtereinsatzhalter eingesetzt werden. Diese Filtereinsatzhalter haben auf ihrer Innenseite von oben nach unten zu einem Bodenauslauf verlaufende, durch Stege voneinander getrennte offene Kanäle. Die Filtereinsätze und die Filtereinsatzhalter sind in ihrer Form so aufeinander abgestimmt, daß sich die Filtereinsätze auf den Scheiteln der bis in den Bodenbereich sich erstreckenden Stege abstützen. Dadurch ist der Filtereinsatz in tangentialer Richtung an seinen Seiten und in axialer Richtung am Boden entlastet, so daß es in der Regel nicht zu einem Aufplatzen der Seitennaht und der Bodennaht kommen kann.Filter cartridges of this type are known (DE-OS 19 06 464). Die besonders im mittleren Bereich beim Einfüllen von Flüssigkeit in den Filtereinsatz belastete Bodenprägenaht 7 ist verstärkt durch die Verbreiterung der Bodenprägenaht im mittleren Bereich.
