The egg container 10 shown in the drawings can E.g. made from a sheet of expanded polystyrene in one piece. The container essentially comprises a carrier part 22, a cover 24 and a tab 26, the lid 24 and the tab 26 preferably foldable each on the two opposite longitudinal. Sides of the carrier part 22 are attached. The preferably rectangular support part 22 has, for example, twelve cups 12 or cup-shaped recesses for receiving eggs 20. ·.
The container 10 can, for example , be formed by deforming a film in a vacuum process. In particular, the cups 12 can be formed in a forming process in which the molds for vacuum deformation are designed in such a way that a plurality of side cushions 14 and base cushions 16 are attached to the Inside of the cups 12. In the same way, ceiling cushions 18, which lie opposite the bottom cushions 16, can be formed on the cover 24.
Diese Polsterung ist umsoThe cushions 14, 16, 18 support the egg 20 in the position shown in Fig. shown way, so that the egg during the Transport in the container 10 can not move. The cushions 14,16,18 protect the egg from breaking even with very strong ones Push and push. This padding is all the more
. - -.more effective when the pads 14-16,18 have a lower density have than the other walls of the container »Preferably, a material with a cell structure is used for the container chosen, the Waflungen are kept thinner than the rest of the container, so that it is under pressure can bend. . - -.
Since the cushions and in particular the floor cushions 16 and the ceiling cushions 18 are raised, can also Eggs of different sizes and lorm in the container be transported. Larger eggs 20 are clamped more firmly between the pads 16, 18, while smaller ones Eggs can also still be held between the cushions. the ones that are then just less compressed. In in the same way, the side cushions 14 allow eggs of greater or lesser thickness to be transported. The number of Side pad 14 is arbitrary.
On the flap 26 locking noses 28 are formed which form an acute angle with the outer surface 30 of the flap 26 a (Pig. 5). The front 34 of the lid is parallel to the surface 30 so that the locking lugs 28 also form an acute angle with this front side 34. In the illustrated embodiment, the acute angle about 71 °. Of course, however, deviations are not possible.

Each locking nose 28 corresponds to an opening 32 in the end face 34 of the cover. Each opening 32 has a /, bead-shaped edge 36, so that the opening 32 has a high tear resistance. The bead 36 can be formed by pressing the foamed plastic material under the action of heat, for example by a press ; stuff 40. As shown in Fig. 6, the opening 32 is not completely completed, but it is necessary. later cut or prick them in a known manner. In this way, the bead 36 is formed from material that would otherwise be cut out.
Durch den Winkel a, den die Vorsprünge 28 mit den Flächen 30 und 34 bilden, wird eine gute Verriegelung gewährleistet, die durch den Wulst 36 noch verbessert ist. ;By the angle α that the projections 28 with the surfaces 30 and 34 form, a good locking is ensured, which is improved by the bead 36. ;
In Figs. 7 to 9 is. another embodiment of the invention shown. The container 42 according to this embodiment is made of a foam-shaped plastic formed carrier part 44 and a cover 46 formed from a film composed. This cover 46 can so be shaped that it fits exactly on the support part 44 The carrier part 44 is preferably designed in the same way as the carrier part 10 in FIG twelve cups 48 for the eggs, which are provided with side pads and bottom pads that support the pads 14,16. correspond.
Diese Ausführungsform der Erfindung hat den Vorteil, daß man in den geschlossenen Behälter einsehen kann« The lid 46 is preferably formed from clear or transparent polystyrene or some other comparable plastic film that is strong enough to maintain its shape under load. The cover 46 can be produced in any known pressing process. Truncated pyramid-shaped support elements 50 are formed on the carrier part 44 and protrude beyond the side edge 52 of the carrier part 44 to a height such that they support the surface 54 of the cover 46. To the support part 44 are formed further 56 A u flageschultern which cooperate with reinforcements of the lid 58 46th These stiffeners 58 increase the stackability of the containers 42. The side edge 52 of the carrier part also cooperates with the stiffeners 58 for this purpose. This embodiment of the invention has the advantage that you can see into the closed container «
