Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Up to now it was common to use antenna wires like those used in radio telegraphy be attached to the top of the mast by attaching it to a metal plate which was provided with screws, and that each wire individually was clamped under one of these. This had the disadvantage that the assembly of a Antenna was time consuming and often caused by breaking off the screw heads or crushing the thread could not be executed properly at all.
The present invention alleviates these inconveniences in the following manner:
The antenna head consists of a circular metal plate 1 (Fig. 1), which has a has a reinforced edge. Holes are drilled in these at an angle of approximately 45 °, in which metal studs 2 (see also Fig. 4 and 5)
The holes are slit lengthways on their upper side, like from Fig. 3, which shows the plate 1 in plan, can be seen at 3. the Bolts 2 have at 4 (see Fig. 4 and 5) 'a conical edge, which is a corresponding executed part of the holes of 1 adjusts.
.The antenna can be assembled in two ways. Either they are individual antenna wires soldered into the bolts at home (Fig. 5 shows at 5 a such wire), or the wires are inserted into the bolt hole 6 (see Fig. 4) and knotted at 7 at the end. Either way, there is good electrical contact guaranteed. If the wires are fastened in this way in their bolts, the latter are in the Bores of the plate 1 brought. The longitudinal slot of the holes is always larger than the diameter of the antenna wires. The wire is first inserted through the slot and the bolt is then inserted into the bore by pulling it downwards. After this this has been done with all wires, a cover plate 8 (see Fig. 1) on the Antenna head placed, which rests on the bolt at 9 and so prevents it from getting out their location to move. The cover plate 8 is held in place at 10 by a wing nut. .
