Zieht man nun die rückwärtigen Halsbandteile zurück, so legen sich die vorderen Teile des Krawattenbandes zwischen die Kragenteile α und b. Der Krawattenknoten wird dadurch an die richtige Stelle des Kragens gebracht und durch Verschnallen der außerhalb des Kragens liegenden Halsbandteile in üblicher Weise befestigt. Soll die Krawatte vom Kragen abgenommen werden, so genügt es, die Verschnallung zu lösen und die Bügel e gegen die Enden des äußeren Kragenteiles zu schieben bzw. den Krawattenknoten vom Kragen wegzuziehen. α is the inner, b the outer collar part.
