Gegen das Einschneien und Vereisen der Scheiben von Kraftfahrzeugen werden in bekannterweise Plastikhauben verwendet, welche über das Fahrzeug gestülpt werden und welche vom Dach des Fahrzeuges mindestens über die Scheiben herunterreichen. Der Nachteil dieser Anordnung besteht darin, daß die Anbringung und das Entfernen der Hauben mühevoll ist. Außerdem sind diese Hauben relativ teuer und ihre Unterbringung im Fahrzeug beansprucht viel Platz im Kofferraum. Es sind außerdem Frostschutzmatten bekannt, welche nur über die Windschutzscheibe gelegt werden und auf beiden Seiten derselben in die Wagentüren eingeklemmt werden.
