In the case of oscillograph tubes, on the front screen, in particular on the inner surface of the front screen,
often markings in the form of measuring grids or the like. So such measuring grids are at
different external light effects as rich in contrast as possible against the phosphor layer, which is also
mounted on the inner surface of the front panel of cathode ray tubes, stand out, they are in the glass
scratched or sintered in with the help of different colored glass particles for better visibility
Such known markings on the front panels of oscilloscope tubes, it is known, the front panel
expose to floodlights that light up the markings on the windshield
brings it and thus contrasts it with the fluorescent layer
Floodlights in the windshield, it is also known from US-PS 32 68 659, a light guide body
to attach flexible material to the periphery of the windshield, which has openings in which incandescent lamps
are used To achieve a more even illumination of the windscreen are in the
Light guide body additionally shielding reflectors are provided.
The present invention is based on the object of providing an arrangement of the type mentioned at the beginning
to create, in which the uniform illumination of the disc with simpler means, in particular without the
Use of shielding reflectors is achieved.
der Scheibe verhindert istthe surface of the light guide is partially provided with roughening, so that there for the purpose
uniform illumination of the pane ensures good optical contact between the light guide body and
the disc is prevented
One advantage of the arrangement described is that it is easy to replace and easy to manufacture
In the case of a normal tube, it can be attached easily and without special precautions. Through the
rubber-like nature of the light guide body, this is firmly attached to the circumferential surface of the disk and
provides good optical contact with the windshield on its flat, non-roughened surfaces
here, so that there a perfect passage of the light radiated into the light guide body into the windshield
is guaranteed, while on the roughened surface parts only part of the light into the
Front window can occur and so point-like bright spots in the areas immediately adjacent to the light source
Area of the windshield can be avoided.
Based on the in the F i g. 1 to 3 illustrated preferred embodiment, the invention
Explained in more detail below In the figures, the front part of a cathode ray tube 1 is with the
Front pane 6 shown On the inside of the front pane 6 is the measuring grid 9. The
Tubular conir. and the tube neck are in a known manner by means of a so-called shielding cylinder
2, which is supposed to keep electrostatic and magnetic fields away from the inside of the tube.
Austreten eingestrahlten Lichtes ab.In order to radiate light into the front panel 6, a strip-like shape is provided on the circumference of the front panel 6
Light guide body 3 is pressed, which is preferably made of an elastic and transparent material
this is a clear, transparent and elastic plastic used. This light guide body 3 is in the
illustrated embodiment with the help of the sheet metal clamp-like structure 5 on the
Shielding cylinder 2 of the tube fastened by means of the screw fastening 7. This clamp-like structure S exercises
in the illustrated embodiment, several advantageous functions. It hold the elastic
Light guide body 3, it presses it against the periphery of the front panel 6 of the cathode ray tube 1 in such a way
that an optical contact is guaranteed, and it shields the remaining part of the light guide body 3 against
Radiated light escapes.
Glühlampen eine sl'izu starke Aufhellung der Front-The light sources are expediently attached in openings in the light guide body 3; preferably used
to do this, small incandescent lamps 4, the holder 6 of which can be made easily and appropriately,
by making the openings for these incandescent lamps 4 slightly smaller, so that these incandescent lamps 4 under
Applying a certain force can be used in the openings in the elastic light guide body 3.
In this way, good contact between the incandescent lamps 4 and the light guide body 3 is ensured at the same time
A part of the surface of the light guide body 3, which is located directly below the lamps 4, is with a
Roughening 8 is provided which, with the usual contact pressure, ensures good optical contact with the front pane 6
of the tube 1. This roughening area 8 extends, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can only be seen
Over a relatively small area of the contact surface of the light guide body 3 on the front pane
6. These roughened surfaces 8 in the direct area of the incandescent lamps 4 have the purpose of being directly below them
