Apparatus for Treating Loose Fiber Material The invention relates to
a device for treating loose fiber material, e.g. washing or drying
of raw wool, with a container or housing in which at least one of treatment medium,
e.g. liquor or air, through-flow screen drum is arranged, and in which the
Screen drum is assigned an infeed conveyor.
The known raw wool washing machines essentially consist of 5
Baths with a downstream press. The first bath is used for: the last one
Wool. The loose wool and other loose fiber material pass through a
Conveyor belt in the wash bath. Here the wool floats on the net, and it is needed
generally special parts, e.g. a paddle roller, to submerge the wool.
Even with other loose fiber material that comes to the washing machine dry
submerging and netting difficulties.
In order to obtain a gentle transport of the wool, it has already been proposed to use sieve drums that are internally flooded with liquid from sußen @ naeh. The liquid flowing into the drums emerges from the screen drums again at the front. In these devices with sieve drums, the material collection is difficult in the case of dry fiber material. The treatment itself (is, however, much gentler, $ o that up to 3 % less Romaine is obtained when washing raw wool.

dar-
gestellt. Es zeigen:
Fig. 1: eine Waschvorrichtung im Längsschnitt,
Fig. 2: den Einlauf eines Siebtrömmeltrockners im Längsschnitt.
tig fest. Das aus der Siebtrommel 2 ausfließende Wasser kann
an

With the previously proposed VorrioAtung, the loose wool is conveyed via a box feeder to an infeed conveyor belt and from there falls into the washing liquor. Using a paddle roller, the full material is submerged and pushed towards the sieve drum. The paddle roller, however, tends to bulge. Furthermore, this device has the disadvantage that the infeed conveyor belt tends to run sideways and thus to a great deal of wear. The invention is based on the object of providing a device
create, in which a gentle transport of the loose Fbaermaterinles,
especially the raw wool, and at the same time an extremely one
safe and easy transfer of the dry material to the sieve drum
is guaranteed.
According to the invention, this object is achieved with a device of the
Initially described type solved in that, the inlet conveyor
is designed as a drum. Instead of a conveyor belt as an
running organ to anticipate a drum for loose fiber material, brings
except for washing devices also for sieve drum dryers and
