Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Entzünden der Dämpfe an Platinmohrfeuerzeugen mittels einer Zündvorrichtung, die aus einer mit Zünddrähten versehenen Platinmohrpille besteht. Die Erfindung geht von dem Gedanken aus, daß in Bewegung befindliche Zündvorrichtungen Gase und Dämpfe schneller zur Entzündung bringen wie solche Zündvorrichtungen, welche im Entzündungsmomente unbeweglich gelagert sind. Nach dem neuen Verfahren soll daher die Zündvorrichtung zum Zwecke der Entzündung über die Vergasungsstelle hinweggeführt werden, und zwar derart, daß zunächst die Platinmohrpille und dann erst die Zünddrähte mit den Gasen in Berührung kommen. Dabei findet an der Vergasungsstelle eine innigere Mischung des Dampf- oder Gasgemisches mit Luft (Sauerstoff) statt, so daß ein höherer Grad von Entzündungsfähigkeit gegeben wird.
