Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun eine Einrichtung, durch welche diese Nachteile beseitigt werden sollen. Die neue Einrichtung, welche auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung dargestellt ist, kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß das, wie üblich, in der Mitte der Gummiplatte g angebrachte Loch / nicht durch die Platte hindurchgeht, sondern sich nur im unteren Teile befindet, und daß die Gummischeibe in der Mitte mit einem mit dem Loch in Verbindung stehenden Spalt s versehen ist. Die Gummiplatte wird zweckmäßig aus zwei Teilen hergestellt, von welchen der eine Teil durchbohrt, der andere dagegen undurchbohrt bleibt. Beide Teile werden nur an den Rändern durch Kleben o. dgl. miteinander verbunden, so daß ohne weiteres der Spalt s in der Mitte verbleibt. In der Gaumenplatte des Gebisses . selbst ist, wie üblich, ein Halter h für die Gummiplatte angeordnet, welcher aus einem Stift mit scheibenförmigem Kopf besteht. Dieser wird in das Loch / bei entsprechender Ausdehnung desselben eingesetzt, so daß er in den Spalt s eintritt. Der Kopf befindet sich infolgedessen im Innern der Gummiplatte, und diese liegt nach dem Einsetzen des Gebisses in den Mund in der Regel ebenso in der Mitte wie am Rande am Gaumen an, so daß dieser nach Möglichkeit geschont wird.The invention now relates to a device by means of which these disadvantages are to be eliminated.
