Die Faßdauben erhalten nach dieser Erfindung eine Doppelnut α und b, während die Böden einen Vorsprung erhalten, der beim Zusammensetzen der Fässer in die Nut b eingesetzt wird. Es paßt dann Vorsprung c schließend in die Nut b, während der Boden selbst in seiner Dicke in die Nut α eintritt, wodurch ein doppelter Verschluß des Bodens und der Dauben erzielt wird. Um nun aber einen vollständig festen Abschluß der Böden nach dem Faßinnern hin zu erzielen, ohne daß ein Aufspringen oder Aufreißen der Dauben oder des Bodens eintreten kann, sind die Bodendauben oben etwas abgeschrägt. Findet nun ein Zusammenschlagen oder Drücken der Dauben und des Bodens statt, so werden die Ränder g und f des Bodens auf die der Faßdauben d und e aufgepreßt und so vollständig fest mit den Dauben verbunden. Es entsteht auf diese Weise ein vollständig fester, dichter Abschluß nach innen, ohne daß hier, weil auch der Boden mit seiner ganzen Dicke eingelassen ist, an einer Stelle Risse, Absplitterungen oder Löcher entstehen können.
