Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Flammrohrkessel , bei welchen zwischen der Feuerung und den Heizröhren ein oder mehrere Rauchverbrennungsräume eingeschaltet sind, die auf mehr als einer Seite an Wasserräume grenzen. Der Kessel besitzt zwei Feuerungen e e\ welche in den beiden unteren Flammenrohren angeordnet sind. Über diesen beiden Rohren liegt das Rauchverbrennungsrohr a, das mit denselben durch die in den Fig. 4 und 6 dargestellte Rauchkammer b verbunden ist, während die zu beiden Seiten des Rauchverbrennungsrohres α angeordneten Heizrohren 0 durch den Kanal f mit demselben verbunden sind. Das andere Ende der Heizrohre mündet in den über der Rauchkammer angeordneten Schornstein p. Die Rauchkammer ist doppelwandig und innen mit Schamotte r oder dergl. ausgekleidet. Oben sind Lufteinlaßöffnungen / angeordnet, deren Weite durch Schieber d in beliebiger Weise geändert werden kann. In dem durch die beiden Wandungen m und η gebildeten Luftvorwärmungsraume h sind außerdem noch zwei Scheidewände k angeordnet, wodurch die bei / eintretende Luft gezwungen wird, die dem Feuer anliegende Fläche mehrmals zu bestreichen, bevor sie aus der Düse c in den Rauchverbrennungskanal gelangt.
