ΛΙ160287 KLASSE 40 a. ΛΙ160287 CLASS 40 a.
The present invention represents an enrichment process for calcareous ores, which apply particularly to the enrichment of calcareous, low-zinc calamine leaves. The method is essentially based on the fact that the ore is first known Way is burned in pieces or in powder form, and that then by decomposition of the carbonate of lime and post-treatment with water with the help of a hot or cold sugar solution without or is brought to solution with the application of pressure. The residue, the whole Zinc contained in the ore is filtered off; the filtrate becomes the sugar solution again obtained by the saccharate formed in the solution by carbonic acid, which at obtained by burning the ore, is decomposed. The recovered sugar solution is used to treat other quantities of ore.
If, for example, a zinc ore is to be enriched, for example a calcareous calmeis, the ore is first crushed and then brought into a lime kiln, ideally with a generator. The exhaust gases from the furnace are pressed into the containers in which the saccharate solution is contained by means of a carbonic acid pump. When the firing is over, the items to be fired are pulled out of the kiln, stacked in piles and treated with more or less hot or cold water, depending on the amount of lime it contains. Then the property is left to its own devices for a while, with all of the lime (Ca O) produced by the burning being converted into hydrate, and part of the ore already disintegrating into powder after the extinguishing process. The piles can be formed in closed rooms or chambers which, if necessary, are artificially heated for the purpose of faster extinguishing of the mineral. After quenching, the ore is finely powdered and placed in a leaching container. A sugar solution is poured into this, which comes either from the "melting" of white or brown sugar, from cooking masses, molasses or from fresh juices. The solution can be weak or concentrated, cold or hot. After a leaching of usually 15 to 30 minutes or more, if necessary, the liquid is either decanted or sent through a filter press with the solution residue and then enters the saturation vessels, where it is decomposed by the carbonic acid sucked out of the kilns, so that an uninterrupted cooperation of the individual devices takes place. The residue remaining in the leaching vessel or in the filter presses, which contains the zinc oxide and all secondary constituents of the ore except for the lime, is
wenn nötig, gewaschen und getrocknet; die Waschwässer werden gleichfalls der Zuckerregeneration unterworfen.if necessary, washed and dried; the washing waters are also used for sugar regeneration subject.
The decomposition of the lime saccharate by carbonic acid is best done in the heat, to promote the settling of the precipitation; one must, however, take care that the saturation is not driven further than until the content of free lime in the ίο Liquid dropped to 0.5 to 1.5 g per liter is to avoid changes in sugar due to fermentation.
The lime sludge is also removed either by decanting or with the help of filter presses separated from the solution, which goes back into the leaching tank.
The method differs from a known method, according to which calcareous Ores are enriched by calcining and subsequent sludging, in that by means of sugar solution, so on chemically, only the lime is completely removed, while with the Sludge, the separation of the lime is often incomplete and valuable Components of the ore are lost.
