Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
For filters through which the liquid to be filtered flows from below, the inconvenience arises that the air and the gases that are otherwise formed are sheltered accumulate in the filters and then break them through at various points, the as The filter layer washes away any sludge that is deposited on the filter and that nitrates on its own and thus impair the effectiveness of the sludge filter. To avoid that, you have to separate removal of air and gases must be provided.
Facilities serving this purpose are shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 of the drawings in various embodiments shown schematically.
The device is characterized in that the pipe, which is to be filtered Liquid leads into the lower part of the filter, with a second, lined pipe is, which ends in a near the mouth of the supply pipe spreading hood. The liquid to be filtered separates as it exits the supply pipe the air and gas bubbles that rise vertically and are caught by the hood and discharged through the surrounding tube.
In FIG. 1, which shows a closed filter, the liquid to be filtered is fed through the feed pipe e into the funnel of the feed pipe c . This feed pipe c opens deep down in the filter. The pipe c is now covered with a second pipe b , which ends in the hood α at the bottom. The mouth of the tube b ends above the highest water level. The rising air and gas bubbles are led through the pipe b above the highest water level. If the filter is closed, as in FIG. 1, openings 00 are to be provided through which the gas can be discharged. The purified water is discharged in the usual manner through the water drain g. This water respectively. the liquid to be cleaned reaches the filter layer h by passing through the slot which the hood α forms with the filter jacket i .
I.In Fig. 2 a special collecting space d is provided for the rising air and gas bubbles, which is of value if the gases are to be used for any special purpose. Otherwise, the device of this filter is essentially the same as that of FIG.
Die im Rohre b aufsteigenden Luft- und GasblasenIn Fig. 3, a filter is shown in which the rising air and gas bubbles are fed back into the supply pipe r c in order to mix there again with the liquid to be cleaned, which may be desirable under certain circumstances. To make this possible, the funnel of the feed pipe c is provided with perforations k . The tube b is raised higher than in the constructions discussed above and connected to the wall of the funnel. The air and gas bubbles rising in tube b
müssen durch die Durchlochungen k des Rohres c in den Trichter übertreten.must pass through the perforations k of the tube c into the funnel.
Beim Übertritt durch den Schlitz zwischen Haube α und Filtermantel i scheiden sich ebenfalls noch Luft- und Gasblasen ab, wie auch derartigeAs shown in Fig. Ι, the water passes between the hood α and the filter jacket i and rises to be clarified by the filter h. When passing through the slot between the hood α and the filter jacket i , air and gas bubbles are also separated out, as well as such
ίο Absonderungen beim Aufsteigen des Wassers eintreten können.ίο Secretions when the water rises can enter.
Diese kegelstumpf-So that these gases do not collect under the filter, they can also be discharged separately, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 of the accompanying drawing. For this purpose, a second hood m is attached which, with the first hood α, forms a slot for the rising water to pass through. This truncated cone
Dann kann man das Filter h in dem Einsatzzylinder m lagern und hat den Vorteil, Haube mit Filter nach oben leicht herausnehmen zu können.ao-shaped, downwardly tapering hood m collects the rising air and gas bubbles and guides them to the outside, either, as shown in FIG. 4, through tubes n located outside the filter jacket i , or, as FIG. 3 indicates through within tubes arranged n. a further embodiment would be for one filter h m connects in the manner to the hood, that m produces as an insert cylinder, the hood, forming the wall of the filter casing i an annular space. Then you can store the filter h in the insert cylinder m and has the advantage of being able to easily remove the hood with the filter upwards.
Fig. 5, bei der die durch die Haube m aufgefangenen Luft- und Gasblasen innerhalb des Filters abgeführt werden, zeigt eine Anordnung, bei der nicht wie in den Fig. 1 bis 4 die Luftabfuhr zentrisch angeordnet ist, sondern seitlich.FIG. 5, in which the air and gas bubbles captured by the hood m are discharged within the filter, shows an arrangement in which the air discharge is not arranged centrally, as in FIGS. 1 to 4, but laterally.
The rest of the configuration of the filter can be done in a known manner. Fig. 1, 2 and 4 show closed filters, FIGS. 3 and 5 open.
