Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf beiderseits gepolsterte, mit senkrecht geführten Drehzapfen versehene drehbare Bettmatratzen, die beim Umlegen in die senkrechte Lage durch Führungen angehoben werden und in beiden wagerechten Lagen gleich hoch liegen. Das Wesen der Erfindung besteht in der Gestaltung und Anordnung der Führungen; hierdurch bleibt die Matratze in senkrechter Lage, ohne ίο daß sie gehalten wird, stehen und wird beim Umlegen in die wagerechte Lage gehemmt.

Die Matratze α ist auf bekannte Art beiderseits gepolstert, und an den Stirnwänden der Matratze sind in der Längsmittelachse derselben Zapfen b vorgesehen, um welche die Matratze gedreht wird. Als Lager der Matratze dienen die am Kopf- und Fußende in das Bettgestell eingelegten Träger c. Der untere, etwas abgeflachte Teil liegt bei wagerechter Lage der Matratze näher an dem Zapfen b als die Seitenteile g der Führung, welche frei abstehen und federnd sind. Gegen diese Federn g schlagen beim Umlegen der Matratze in die wagerechte Lage die Rollen e und hemmen dieselbe hierdurch. Beim Umlegen der Matratze aus der wagerechten Lage (Fig. 1) in die senkrechte (Fig. 2) hebt sich dieselbe, um dann beim Zurücklegen in die wagerechte Lage wieder gesenkt zu werden. In der senkrechten Stellung der Matratze (Fig. 2) befindet sich eine der Rollen e in dem tiefsten Teile der Führung f. Von hier aus muß sich diese Rolle am aufsteigenden Teile der Führung entlang bewegen, wodurch die Matratze eine gewisse Sicherheit gegen selbsttätiges Umkippen erhält.On both sides of the pin b , rollers e are arranged on the end walls of the mattress and run in guides / provided on the supports c.
