The invention relates to an adjusting gear for continuously adjustable
Gearboxes whose internal gear ratio is controlled by a. Feed movement of a
the transmission links can be changed.

Such actuators are usually not self-contained. Screw or rack and pinion drives, the driving part of which is fastened in the housing of the continuously variable transmission and the driven part of the transmission element to be adjusted on the continuously variable transmission. This type of actuating gear requires exact compliance with a number of installation dimensions - both in the housing and on the transmission element of the continuously variable transmission as well as on the actuating gear itself. This is associated with corresponding costs. If, as is the case with modern continuously variable drives, the actuating gear is to be mounted optionally on different (operating) sides of the continuously variable gear, the adjusting spindles or gear drives must be specially designed for this at increased costs. In this previous type of actuating gear, which required relatively precise installation, it has also been overlooked that it is rather unimportant where the feed movement to change the internal gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is initiated in the one transmission element. It is only important that the CD is in the right direction. This also leads to structural simplifications. This knowledge and the intention to make the actuating gear cheaper
gen, are the basis of the 'invention, which -äa @. is realized by,
that the standing gear as self-contained, self-locking

This is also true, where the two ends of the feed element protruding freely from the actuator, e.g. a push rod, engage.
