Die Scheibe O ist, um ihr eine leichte Beweglichkeit zu sichern, mittels einer an beiden Enden zugespitzten kleinen Achse 5 zwischen zwei Lagerschrauben gelagert. Die eine der beiden Schrauben T sitzt in einem Arme A1, der an dem Eisenkern JV oder an einem anderen Teile der Vorrichtung befestigt ist, während die andere Schraube U in eine Scheibe J31 aus nicht magnetischem Material eingesetzt ist. Der Drehbewegung der Scheibe O wird in elastischer Weise entgegengewirkt, und zwar im Verhältnis zu dem Drehmoment, das ihr mitgeteilt wird.
