Jet propulsion for watercraft The invention relates to a jet propulsion
for watercraft with a propellant gas generator, a system of in the driving current and
Honeycomb-like arranged in the direction of travel. Front and rear open thrust tubes
as well as a propellant gas supply from the gas generator to the thrust tubes.
While it is possible with a jet propulsion for missiles, the
Using the discharge of the fuel gases directly as propulsion force pushes this
Procedure when propelling watercraft to considerable difficulties. These
are primarily due to the low efficiency due to the high output energy
the fuel gases are also caused by operational complications such as nuisance
the environment.
To reduce these disadvantages, it is known to use the fuel gases
Not to eject jet propulsion for watercraft directly, but to eject them as it were

Chambers is ejected to the rear by the combustion gases.
With these known jet propulsion systems for watercraft, this is the case
Fuel gas either generated in a central combustion chamber of the jet engine or
it is given to him by the connecting supports
fed from the hull.
The gas supply is subject to greater losses due to the necessary
Diversions; the storage of the rotating parts must be outside the hull

a thrust bearing can be added to this engine.
in Deckung kommen.
An jede Düse
To avoid these disadvantages, the invention proposes, when using a propellant gas generator located in the hull and a stationary system of honeycomb-like arranged thrust tubes, to execute the propellant gas feeder provided in a manner known per se with a drive independent of the propellant gas generation as a hollow shaft arranged coaxially with the thrust tube system The end facing the thrust tube system is provided with at least one, preferably several segment-shaped gas outlet nozzles evenly distributed over the circumference and a corresponding number of segment-shaped cover surfaces. In such an embodiment, the working medium generated inside the ship (compressed air, high-pressure fuel gas or the like) is led out of the hull through a largely straight and horizontal pipeline and this pipeline is designed as a hollow shaft mounted radially and axially inside the ship and provided with a drive. At its outer end, this hollow shaft preferably carries two or more segment-shaped gas supply nozzles evenly distributed over the circumference and segment-shaped cover surfaces adjoining them in the circumferential direction, in such a way that when the shaft rotates, the individual honeycomb-arranged thrust tubes of the thrust tube system are alternately exposed to the current at their front end and are thereby charged with liquid, then with the gas supply nozzles and finally with the cover surfaces. According to an additional proposal of the invention, the rear end of the hollow shaft, especially in connection with the or the Abdeeksegmenten is designed so that it acts as a screw pump and can serve to accelerate the filling water for the thrust tubes. The length of the thrust tubes and the size and number of the gas supply nozzles and the cover segments are coordinated so that at the given speed of the gas supply shaft the gas at the end of the expansion period approximately reaches the pressure around the outlet ends of the thrust tubes, or so that a predetermined expansion ratio is achieved .
At the stern 1 of the ship, a hollow shaft 2 is mounted axially and radially, which is driven by the motor 4 via a gear pair 3. At the inner end, the hollow shaft is connected to a propellant gas generator via a suitable connection (not shown). At the outer end, the hollow shaft is shaped into two narrow segment-shaped gas supply nozzles 5. In their radial extension, these nozzles extend over the six concentric rings of thrust tubes 6. Each nozzle 5 is adjoined in the circumferential direction by a likewise segment-shaped cover surface 7, which is designed in the manner of propeller blades or blades of a screw pump. The thrust tube system is enclosed by an annular nozzle 8, and an adjustable rudder 9 is arranged behind it.
Due to the segment-shaped design of the gas supply nozzles and the cover surfaces
it is achieved that the same for the swept circular area on every radius
