Description
The invention relates to a method for guiding the water in a continuous washing system, in particular for road and rail vehicles, in which a pre-wash, a main wash and a final rinse take place one after the other. In such a tunnel washing system, the vehicle is sprayed with a large amount of water in the pre-wash in order to float the loosely adhering dirt. In the main wash, water with added detergent is then first distributed over the vehicle and most of the dirt is washed off the vehicle, for example with the help of rotating brushes while adding a further considerable amount of water to which detergent has also been added. Finally, in the final rinse, the residues of the loosened dirt and the residues of detergent are rinsed off the vehicle by means of a considerable amount of water to which a relaxation agent can be added. The water remaining on the vehicle is then removed by blowing it off with air.
Außerdem müssen entweder sehr große Mengen an Entspannungsmitteln verwendet werden oder es besteht dieSuch known continuous washing systems have a satisfactory washing effect, but are not very economical because of the very considerable amount of water consumed, which fresh water is used for the prewash, main wash and final rinse. This known routing of the water in tunnel washing systems is also not advantageous because of the considerable consumption of detergent. In addition, either very large amounts of relaxation agents must be used or there is
There is a risk that stains will form on the vehicle when the remnants of the water are blown off.
Previous efforts to reduce the quantities of fresh water consumed in such continuous washing systems have been to dispense with a prewash at all and thus to save the amount of water required for this. The disadvantage of this, however, is that the loosely adhering dirt is only detached in the main wash and is moved to a considerable extent over the surface of the vehicle, so that the known undesirable sanding effect increases and thus the surface of the vehicle, e.g. the paint, is stronger than with Using a pre-wash is damaged.
In a method of the type mentioned at the outset, the invention aims to reduce the amount of fresh water required while at the same time avoiding the disadvantages described above. The invention consists in that the fresh water is fed exclusively to the post-rinse and the process of post-rinse, pre-wash and main wash mixed, partly after at least mechanical cleaning, is fed to the pre-wash and the main wash and the remainder is discharged into the waste water. The fresh water, to which the relaxation agent is expediently added, is therefore only used for the final rinse, which is particularly important for the final appearance of the cleaned vehicle, while the drain is used again for the pre-wash and main wash, mechanical cleaning of this large amount of water generally being sufficient and the water is partially circulated. The mechanical cleaning of the drain can be done with the help of known devices, such as precoat filters, gravel filters, sieve filters or the like. and results in sufficient cleaning of the water for the pre-wash and main wash.
The relaxation agent added to the fresh water for the final rinse also reaches the water that is used for the pre-wash and main wash via the drain, where it improves the cleaning effect without any special effort for additional relaxation agent. This also reduces the amount of detergent required.
The management of a considerable amount of the water in the circuit also has the effect of reducing the energy required for heating when using heated water. The reduction in the amount of water to be discharged into the wastewater is also generally an advantage of the process according to the invention. Compared to the known method, the method according to the invention generally results in a saving of about 70% of the amount of fresh water and correspondingly a saving of about 70% of the amount of water to be drained off.
In the method according to the invention, the water to be supplied to the prewash and the main wash can, if necessary, also be chemically cleaned.
In the drawing, the routing of the water in a continuous washing system according to the method according to the invention is shown schematically, for example.
Dabei kann aus einem weiteren VorratsbehälterThe vehicles pass through the washing bows 1 and 2 one after the other, with the pre-wash and then the main wash being carried out in the washing bows 1, while the washing bows 2 are used for post-rinsing. A work station for washing the vehicles by hand can be provided between the washing bows 1 and 2. Fresh water flows from the line 3 via a softening filter 4, in which relaxation agent is added from a storage container 5, to the washing arch 2. It can be made from a further storage container
A brightener can be added to the fresh water that has already been softened.
In the area of the washing bows 1 and 2, collecting trays 7 and 8 are provided for the drainage of the pre-wash and main wash on the one hand and post-rinse on the other hand. The entire process is fed from the collecting trays 7 and 8 to a petrol switch 9 and then a sludge trap 10. From there the drain flows into a pump sump 11, from which the rest of the water is drained into the sewer 12. The remaining water is fed from the pump sump 11 by means of a pump 13 via a precoat filter 14 to a storage container 15, in which detergent is added to the mechanically purified water from a further storage container 16. From the storage container 15, a pump 17 conveys water with the added detergent via a continuous heater 18 to the washing arch 1 for carrying out the prewash and the main wash.
