Die Erfindung betrifft eine bolzenartige Gleit schutzeinrichtung, die in einen Fahrzeugreifen eingetrieben werden kann, der vorzugsweise mit einer engen Ausnehmung zur Aufnahme der GIeitschutzeinrichtung versehen ist. Die Gleitschutz einrichtung hat vorzugsweise eine Spitze aus Hartmetall. Es gibt viele Arten von GIeitschutzeinrichtungen des dargelegten Typs auf dem Markt. Allen diesen bisher bekannten G^e it schutzeinrichtungen ist das Merkmal gemein, daß der Körper der GIe it schutzeinrichtung einen oder mehrere den Körper umgebende Flanscnen trägt. Da die Vorsprünge der Gfleitsohutzeinrlohtung gemäß der Erfindung den Körper nicht umgeben, so werden auch bei Einbettung der Gleit schutzeinrichtung im Reifen um die Gfleitschutzeinrichtung ringförmige Reifenteile gebildet, die nur an ihren äußeren Kanten fest am Reifenmaterial anliegen.
