Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention provides a filter in which, in order to save space, several independent filter surfaces respectively. Filter chambers (expediently column-like arranged one above the other) to a common liquid inlet and outlet pipe and a also common flushing pipe are connected, each filter chamber by a common ring slide open respectively. closed and either to the line for the liquid to be filtered or can be connected to the flushing line, where- by it is made possible in a simple manner that the individual filter surfaces BEZW. Filter chambers can be put out of operation for cleaning purposes while the other ■ filter surfaces ■ continue to work ■ without interruption can.
In the drawing, the filter is illustrated in an embodiment in which four filter chambers are arranged one above the other.
Fig. Ι is a vertical section through the filter.
The liquid to be filtered enters the tube α in the middle of the filter in the direction of the arrow, flows downward in the two compartments dd and through the openings f z. B. in the upper chamber of an inner cylinder c, in which it is distributed on all sides and passes through openings 0 in the actual filter space.
Nach Durchfließen des Filtermaterials und des gelochten Bodens fließt die sich darunterAfter flowing through the filter material and the perforated base, it flows underneath
ansammelnde gereinigte Flüssigkeit durch Öffnungen ρ in die untere Kammer - des Zylinders c und durch die Öffnungen e in die Kammern h des Rohres a, in welchen es hochsteigt und oben in der Pfeilrichtuug aus- , tritt.collecting purified liquid through openings ρ into the lower chamber - of the cylinder c and through the openings e into the chambers h of the tube a, in which it rises and exits at the top in the direction of the arrow.
This route is shown in chambers I and IV.
In order to now clean a filter chamber, the ring slide b, which is designed as a worm wheel at the top, is rotated by 60 ° in the direction of the arrow with the aid of the worm g; as a result, the openings / and e are closed, while the openings i and channels k are opened.
Man dreht zu diesem Zweck den Ringschieber b nochmals von links nach rechts um 6o°, wodurchThe already filtered liquid to be used for cleaning now passes through the openings i into the lower chamber of the ring cylinder c, flows through the filter material in the opposite direction as above, while at the same time a built-in rake (shown in chamber II) is set in motion, tearing the Contamination with, flows through the upper chamber of the cylinder c and through the channels k into the flushing line / (shown in the chamber II). The counter-rinse is then carried out. This second rinse, the so-called. Counter-rinsing is not necessary everywhere, but has the purpose of making the filter material suitable for filtration again and, if necessary, of removing dirt particles that have stuck to the lower filter layer from the first rinsing so that they do not get into the clean water line. For this purpose, the ring slide b is rotated again from left to right by 60 °, whereby
Nach einiger Zeit dreht man den Ringschieber nochmals um 6o° und ist dann wieder die Anfangsstellung erreicht.the openings i and the channels k are closed, while the openings f and channels m are opened. The liquid now flows in again, since f l is now above f , but not through the pure water discharge openings h, but through the channels m into the flushing line. After some time you turn the ring slide again by 60 ° and then you have reached the starting position again.
In the embodiment shown, a rotation of i8o ° is necessary. In the case of very large filters, you will use 120 0 or choose a different division ratio of 360 °. This depends on the chamber division of the tube α and on whether the following opening does not open until the previous one is completely closed.
The filter chambers could also be arranged in a brick tower or the like instead of in a cylinder made of sheet iron. Instead of adjusting the ring slide b by means of a worm wheel and worm, you could use other means, e.g. B. sprocket and chain or the like. Use. Instead of arranging the common inlet and outlet pipe and the flushing pipe in the middle of the filter beds, they could also be attached to one end of the same and give the filter surfaces a rectangular shape in plan.
