Niederdruckentladungslampe, insbesondere *) Hochspannungsleuchtröhre
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Niederdruckentladungslampe,
insbe-
sondere Hochspannungsleuchträhre, mit hohlen Blechelektroden.
Solche
Elektroden bestehen meistens aus einfachem bzw. reinem
Eisenblech
(US-Patent 2 417 361) oder aus Eisenblech, das mit
Chrom, Nickel oder
anderen Zusätzen legiert oder plattiert ist (US-Patent
Low- pressure discharge lamp , in particular *) high-voltage fluorescent tube The invention relates to a low-pressure discharge lamp, in particular high-voltage fluorescent tube, with hollow sheet-metal electrodes. Such electrodes usually consist of simple or pure iron sheet (U.S. Patent 2,417,361) or of sheet iron, which is alloyed with chromium, nickel or other additives or plated (US Patent 2 271 65'j). They have the disadvantage that they give off strong gases and atomize in the light tube during operation if they are not carefully cleaned and annealed before being installed in the light tube. The metal and gas particles emerging from the electrodes are partially deposited on the vessel wall and absorb and change the composition of the filling gas, which turns the light tube gray and greatly reduces its light output .
Barium-, Kalzium-, Strontiumoxyd,
auf die Innenseiten der Elektroden aufgebracht (DBP 917 860). Dadurch
konnte man die
Elektroden bei gleicher Ionisierungsapannung
verkleinern, was wegen Platz-
mangels an der Montagestelle
häufig erwünscht ist. Wesentliche Dachteile
solcher aktivierten Elektroden
ergeben sich aber daraus, daß sie einer-
seits in Betrieb meistens ebenfalls

To the electron emission of the electrode to increase and thus reduce the Ka Thode case, one has, as is also known aktivierungamasse, such as barium, calcium, strontium oxide, applied to the inner sides of the electrodes (DBP 917 860). This made it possible to reduce the size of the electrodes while maintaining the same ionization voltage, which is often desirable due to the lack of space at the installation site. However, essential roof parts of such activated electrodes result from the fact that, on the one hand, they usually also slightly atomize during operation, turn the light tube gray and thus reduce its light output, and, on the other hand, the production of the activation material, its application to the electrodes, furthermore the activation and the Degassing require a considerable amount of work. In contrast, *) 21f, 82 / o3 better properties show low-pressure discharge lamps, in particular high-voltage tubes, in which according to the invention, the electrode sheets additives within certain limits aufwei- sen, wherein the sheet iron is alloyed with approximately 12 to 20> chromium and less than 0.5 % Contains carbon. The Cr content should preferably be 15 to 1896. Electrodes whose sheet metal electrode material consists of cold-rolled, bright and low-porosity , alloyed iron sheet and which contains around 17 9 ° Cr and less than 0.1 ° C and is practically free of other additives have proven to be particularly favorable.
As an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the end of a lint charge tube with a built-in electrode is illustrated in partial section.
Loch 9 versehene Isolierscheibe 10, z.B.
aus Glimmer, abgedeckt, wobei
sich der Band der Isolierscheibe
10 gegen die Einschnürung 2 des Lntladungsrohres 1 abstützt, damit
die Entladung auf die Außenwand der
Elektrode nicht übergreifen
und so eine °chwärzung der Kolbenwand ver-
meiden soll. Der
Durchmesser des Entladungsrohres 1 kann auch entspre-
chend der Einschnürung
2 verjüngt ausgeführt sein. The discharge tube 1 is provided with a constriction 2 to the electrode tube section 3 at each end. The cylindrical lead electrode 4 is connected by welding points 6 to the power supply lines 5, which in the usual way are led out of the electrode tube piece 3 in a vacuum- tight manner through the pinch 7. The sheet metal electrode 4 is covered at its end near the base by an insulating washer 8, for example a ceramic disk, and at the end facing the discharge by an insulating washer 10, for example made of mica, provided with a central hole 9, the tape of the insulating washer 10 being against the Constriction 2 of the discharge tube 1 is supported so that the discharge does not extend to the outer wall of the electrode and so should avoid blackening of the bulb wall. The diameter of the discharge tube 1 can also be tapered in accordance with the constriction 2 .
Ferner
ist es möglich, die gleichen Elektro-
den, die lediglich entsprechend der
spezifischen Belastung in mA/cm 2
Grenzen
verwendet werden, ist eine erhebliche Vereinfachung
und Verbesserung bei der Herstellung von Leuchtröhren
möglich geworden. The lead sheet material according to the invention can be processed as delivered; it does not need to be roughened, annealed or melted airtight in an electrode bulb before being installed in a discharge tube . Further, it is possible to use the same electrical, that the specific load in mA / cm 2 are stepped accordingly only, as well as to use the both neon for mercury discharge. Finally, smaller dimensions can be used, since they require an ionization voltage that is about 1596 lower due to the lower work function than other simple sheet iron electrodes. Increased losses due to corrosion are also avoided with sheet metal electrodes according to the invention. Because the lead electrodes with Cr and G additives are used within the limits specified according to the invention, a considerable simplification and improvement in the manufacture of fluorescent tubes has become possible.
