Description

Anwendung des Apparates.
Das Musikheft wird auf die Leisten A A und mit seiner hinteren Seite an die Knaggen NN gestellt, so dafs es sich gegen den Ständer B anlehnt, wie aus den punktirten Linien in Fig. 1 ersichtlich ist. Die Fäden O, O₁, O_±,O₃₁O₁₁₁O₅ werden zwischen die einzelnen Blätter desselben gelegt, welche der Reihe nach umzuwenden sind, und mittelst der Ringe L, die man auf den Haken M aufschiebt, straff gezogen. Die Drähte KK haben dann die Lage nach links vom Spielenden aus gesehen, wie Fig. 1 dieselben darstellt. Der Knopf F der Schraubenspindel D hat die in Fig. 1 gezeichnete Lage. Dreht man nun mittelst des Knopfes die Spindel D, so bewegt sich dieselbe mit dem Rädchen G nach abwärts, indem die Schraube D¹ sich in ihre Mutter hineinschraubt. Gleichzeitig dreht das Rädchen G das oberste der Zahnrädchen IT auf der kleinen Welle und wirft dadurch das erste Notenblatt mittelst des Drahtes K und Fadens O von links nach rechts in die in punktirten Linien angegebene Lage, Fig. 1. Durch weiteres Drehen am Knopfe F kann man somit alle eingespannten Notenblätter umwenden, bis die Schraube mit ihrem Ansatz unten bei a (Fig. 3) aufstöfst. Ist dieses geschehen, so wird die Spindel mit der Schraube zurückgedreht und eine Anzahl neuer Blätter in den Apparat mittelst der Drähte K, K₁, ... JT₅ und der Schnüre O, O₁ , . .. O₅ eingespannt.Use of the apparatus.

Patent-Anspruch: Der vorstehend beschriebene, auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Apparat, bei welchem mittelst einer durch einen hohlen Ständer gehenden Schraubenspindel ein horizontales Zahnrädchen auf- und abbewegt wird, so dafs es der Reihe nach Zahnräder, welche lose auf einer zweiten Welle sitzen und mit horizontalen Drähten verbunden sind, während seiner Auf- und Abbewegung um je /₂ Umdrehung dreht, während es selbst nur ca. '/₅ Umdrehung macht. Patented in the German Empire on October 9, 1877.

The purpose of the apparatus is to turn the sheet music over more quickly while playing than this is possible without such an apparatus.

The apparatus is on the accompanying drawing in Fig. Ι in the front view, in Fig. 2 in Grundrifs, shown in Fig. 3, 4 and 5 in vertical and horizontal section. Same letters denote the same parts in the different views.

In a suitably shaped strip of wood or metal AA covered on its upper side with cloth, a hollow brass stand B is fastened in the middle, which at its upper end carries a brass capsule C , which has a number of horizontal slots in its front wall.

A spindle D, which can be displaced and rotated in the same, passes through the hollow stand, the upper end of which carries a screw with a steep thread D ¹ which can be unscrewed and unscrewed in a nut thread cut into the reinforced upper part of the stand. The button F at the lower end of the spindle serves as a handle to convey this movement. On the uppermost end of the spindle there is a toothed wheel G ₁ which makes about y ₆ revolutions, while the wheel in engagement therewith covers IT '/ ₂ revolutions. The latter is located on a second shaft that carries six moderately strong wires K _1, K ₁ , K ₂ , K ₃ , K _A , K ₅ . Each of these is attached to a small toothed wheel H which is rotatably fitted on that second shaft. From the outer ends of the wires, strong threads, rubber cords or gut strings go to the rings LL , which can be pushed onto the hook M.

The strip AA has two rotatable lugs or sash locks NN, which serve as a counter-hold for the music booklet to be set up from behind. Instead of the gears, one could also use friction rollers.
