The replacement of the sulfur atom by an oxygen atom in the appropriately substituted benzenesulfonyl'thioureas can for example with the help of oxides or salts of heavy metals or also by using oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide, sodium peroxide or nitrous acid be performed.

It is then acidified, the acetone is separated off in vacuo at room temperature and the residue is extracted with 1% ammonia. The urea precipitated with acid is recrystallized from methanol and a little water, melting point 163 to 164 ° C.

Man kristallisiert aus Äthanol/Wasser um und erhält Kristalle vom Schmelzpunkt 180 bis 18 Γ C.10 g of N - [4 - (2 + - hydroxy - benzamido - methyl) benzenesulfonamide (mp 184 ° C.) are dissolved in 80 ml of acetone and 32.5 ml of 2 η sodium hydroxide solution, cooled to 0 to 5 ° C. and 4.6 g of methylcyclohexyl isocyanate are added dropwise with stirring. During 3 hours of stirring, the temperature is allowed to rise to 20 ° C., acidified and the acetone is separated off on a rotary evaporator at room temperature. The residue is extracted with 1% ammonia, the extract is acidified and the precipitate is filtered off with suction. Recrystallize from ethanol / water and get crystals with a melting point of 180 to 18 ° C.
