Gegenstand dieser Erfindung ist ein Kühlapparat, bei welchem der vom Schwungrad in zentrifugaler Richtung erzeugte Luftstrom zur Kühlung des Kühlwassers benutzt wird. Der Apparat besteht im wesentlichen aus um das Schwungrad angeordneten Ringen oder Kreissegmenten aus Rohren oder Rohrspiralen mit auf- oder nebeneinander angeordneten Windungen. Durch diese Anordnung nimmt der Apparat wenig Raum ein und bietet dem Luftstrom eine große Kühlfläche. Durch den Fortfall scharfer Krümmungen hat die zu kühlende Flüssigkeit bei ihrer Zirkulation nur einen geringen Widerstand zu überwinden, und der Apparat ist billig herzustellen.
