Bei geschlossenem Koffer liegen die Stützen derart, dafs der untere Theil von c auf dem Boden anliegt, während der oberhalb des Gelenkes befestigte Theil auf dem unteren Theil hochkant aufliegt. Ueber diesem liegt der untere Theil der Stange d und darauf wieder dessen oberer Theil. Je nach der Länge des Koffers können natürlich diese Stützen entsprechend lang sein. In ihrem oberen Verlauf besitzen die Stützen winkelartig ausgearbeitete Nuthen, in welche ein Rahmen c, der mit Haken versehen ist, eingefügt wird, wodurch die Stützen aufrecht erhalten werden.
