Bei diesem Frühstückskasten, der auch ohne Weiteres als Briefkasten Verwendung finden kann, ist eine unbefugte Entnahme des Inhaltes, ohne eines Schlosses zu bedürfen, dadurch verhindert, dafs einerseits der Kasten mittelst eines in seiner Rückwand vorgesehenen schrägen Schlitzes α oder b an einem Haken, einer Kopfschraube oder einem Nagel c entweder am Thürpfosten P (Fig. 4) oder an der Aufsenseite der Thür T selbst (Fig. 5) derart aufgehängt wird, dafs er nur bei geöffneter Thür wieder abgehoben werden kann, da zum Abnehmen des Kastens eine seitliche Verschiebung oder eine Drehung desselben nöthig ist. Diese einfache Aufhängung ermöglicht es, als Verschlufs für den Kasten einen drehbaren Deckel d zu wählen, an welchem im rechten Winkel ein zweiter Deckel e befestigt ist, der bei geschlossenem Deckel innen an der Rückwand des Kastens anliegt (Fig. 2), bei geöffnetem Deckel jedoch die Oeffhung des Kastens verschliefst (Fig. 1). Sectorförmige Seitenwände/ verbinden beide Deckel mit. einander und hindern einen seitlichen Eingriff in den Kasten. Ist die Thür T geschlossen (s. Fig. 4 und 5), so kann der Deckel d nicht weiter aufgeklappt werden, als bis in die durch Fig. 1 veranschaulichte Lage, weil entweder der Thürpfosten selbst (Fig. 4) oder die Thür (Fig. 5) ein weiteres Oeffnen hindert. Mithin ist zwar der Frühstückslieferant bezw. der Briefträger in der Lage, Gegenstände auf die Deckplatte e aufzulegen, die dann durch ihr Gewicht den Deckel von selbst wieder in die Lage Fig. 2 zurückbewegen und in den Kasten fallen, aber es ist Niemand im Stande, dem Kasten wieder etwas zu' entnehmen, so lange die Thür geschlossen bleibt, weil ein am Deckel d parallel zum Deckel e über dem letzteren angeordneter zweiter Deckel g einen Eingriff in den Kasten auch bei halbgeöffnetem Deckel (s. punktirte Stellung in Fig. 2) verhindert.
