KLASSE 22g. CLASS 22g.
Verfahren zum Färben von Glas.Process for coloring glass.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 27. November igoo ab. \Patented igoo in the German Empire from November 27th. \
The present process for coloring glass differs significantly from this the hitherto customary procedures that, instead of the usual, expensive primers, how. z. B. Collodion, a much cheaper means of priming glass which is at the same time more fire-proof and tougher than this and therefore capable the latter property cannot easily come off.
The dyeing process consists in that the glass plate BEZW. the glass object carefully, z. B. with chalk, cleaned and then rubbed with a cloth, which with one about 10 to I2proc. Moistened iodine solution is. This is followed by priming, which, as is well known, has the purpose of good adherence to ensure the tar color on the glass.
The basic means consists of approximately 1000 g water, 225 g gelatin, 22 g oxalic acid, 0.5 g chromammonium and 8 g acetic acid.
The substances mentioned above are accommodated in a Porcellangefäfse to boiling then filtered ,, and in complete dissolution deleted at a temperature of about 75 0 C. to the glass sheet BEZW. poured.
Water- or fat-soluble tar dyes are used for dyeing, which are produced by over-gelling or better by dipping into a tub containing the paint on the glass panel respectively applied to the glass object. After the paint is completely dry this is done with a high temperature resistant balm or varnish, such as Copaiva or Canada balm, fixed.
The stained glasses by this process are completely clear and transparent, a heat resisting up to 250 0 C and are not attacked by fuming hydrochloric acid and Flufssäure.
